Loved the call on the Jurk run but as we've seen before, these guys just cannot execute on certain run plays. Flowers sweeps are rarely effective. Toss sweep was another shitty call and a loss of 2 yards. We do fine running it up the gut and even a gain of 2 yards is better than a loss of 2. It makes a big difference in a game like this.

Need to smarten up on the playcalling for runs.

Yes, ND just hit a big crossing route after incompletions on first and second downs. But ND should run each time on first down until BC proves they can stop them. ND scored here, but Kelly relying on Book to throw is good for us. ND running behind their line is their strongest element on offense, but it means Book would fall far short of Jurkovec in stats & highlights. Hopefully Kelly overthinks and keeps throwing.
