I really hope the coaches learned from this game. It maybe was necessary to learn what is possible with the running game. The answer’s pretty unfortunate. They’ll also have to scheme around pass protection breakdowns.

But wow terrific defensive coaching even while giving up 30. Gutsy offensive coaching as well before the ball control efforts failed.

Yes, particularly the secondary. Aside from the one sack before the Pitt field goal, we had almost no pressure on the QB in this game. The fact that the secondary held their own under those circumstances just goes to show the impact that Hafley has made on the position.

Zero percent chance BC would've won this game if Daz were still in charge.

While the coaching and execution left a lot to be desired, it feels good to be rid of the stink that Daz brought to the program.

The secondary played great. Most of the PI calls were not truly on them. Josh DeBerry and Jason Maitre impress me a lot, personally.

The front seven? My God. Kind of soft. There were multiple plays where there could have been a tackle for loss but it somehow turned into a gain. Too many missed tackles that could have stunted PITT drives, particularly missed tackles against their QB.

Front seven played well at the end.

Jurk has really been a revelation. He’s such a weapon back in the pocket. I’m confident that his feel for timing will improve as he plays more and more. That’s a feel for the game issue and he spent a lot of time gathering dust since HS. He’s made some great reads and (just as significantly) has avoided the costly INTs.

I didn't see the game due to not having acc network. What was the issue with th refs?
