Jurk has been solid all day, but that’s the difference between a win and a loss. He’s been screwed out of earlier TDs with drops, but this really stings.

Interesting game so far. The D is terrible but they are battling out there. Offense really needs to be perfect to deal with the deficiency on D. Going to need at least one more UNC turnover to keep this one competitive in the 2nd half.

I'm looking for a fake screen big play coming up and perhaps establishing the run a bit more.

Mike Palmer remains a massive liability. Defense looks very slow in general. Offense looks very promising though, I like the aggressive pass calling.

With the way Jurk thrives in the 2 minute drill, maybe we should operate out of a no huddle occasionally (not exclusively).

I’m with you. Bottom line is that they have 3 FG where they could have easily had 2 TD and 1 FG. This of course disregards the only actual TD, which was a 5 yard drive.

UNC is really, really good. BC's defense has been deplorable on 3rd down, giving up HUGE plays. And its almost like there is not much that they can do to defeat that. UNC is just too quick to the line of scrimmage, too quick into the backfield. And their QB is awesome, really a smart-smart player.

Still, 21-16. Still a game. BC"s MVP of this game (so far) is the field goal kicker. I just don't know what words of wisdom or coaching adjustments can be made in the next 7 minutes other than yelling at the defensive players to be, faster? Looks to me like BC's defense is just being out-athleted and only succeeds when UNC fucks up.

The jury is in on Jurkovec for me, I can see why he had a five star rating. He’s Roethlisberger lite; not to say he is one of the 10 best quarterbacks to ever play, but he has similar gamesmanship. I don’t know how good Sam Johnson is, but if he wants to play he should probably transfer

I'm not seeing what the UNC is really good people are seeing. They have a couple speed guys that can't get open on BCs secondary and the line isn't good. They sustained drives because BC plays man on third down with an undisciplined pass rush.

I think the rule in college football is if ANY PART of the QB's body has not fully crossed the line of scrimmage, its a fair forward pass. I could be wrong but if that IS the rule, then with just his right foot not crossing the line of scrimmage, they got the call correct.

This. UNC is legit as hell. I think the fight BC is giving them isn’t due to luck or oddities, its legit. The future is bright here too

It’d be nice to see a complex pass rush (think what the Steelers do now with stunts) but against Howell with advanced weapons against a banged up secondary, maybe the wrong call. We pretty much just have to hope he’s off his game and misses throws
