The dog that didn't bark - transfers?

Anyone have an opinion as to why college football has only seen a handful of transfers? So far seems to be only 5th/6th year guys like Bequette?

Seems like a multitude of reasons - rosters/scholarships set, questions about eligibility, questions about playing later in the fall/spring.

But there were still guys like Taylor Riggins of Buffalo who could have transferred who seem happy to just sit out the year.

Lack of roster spots available and a missed spring/summer camp meaning you are behind on integrating into the new team means it probably wouldn’t have been a good move to get PT except for the very best who are also the players who most likely don’t need to put anything else on tape and can just focus on draft prep.
