Yes all three committed today. All from Catholic Memorial which will probably be a BC pipeline going forward as DiBiaso is now coaching there having left Everett. 2023 is probably the first class that will staff being his guys. And now that he can recruit anybody he wants CM is probably going to be very good moving forward.

A 2023 recruiting class? 2023? These are football players who are starting their sophomore year of high school this fall and BC is making offers? So these are kids who were so good as FRESHMEN in high school they not only started varsity, but they were dominant enough to get scholarship offers? WTF.

I assume that was a typo and this is 2022. And even still, they are just juniors.

Not a typo. One of them has not played a varsity snap yet.
One of BC’s GAs is the son of the CM head coach which is how we found out about these kids.

Building a pipeline with CM is smart but I suspect that at best two of these three actually come to BC. Too much time between now and then to get super excited.

The one kid whose brother went to LSU strikes me as a reasonable enough pickup on the merits. Taking the other 2 at this point seems like marketing (which has minimal downside, for now)

FWIW Jones and Traore both had Michigan offers so they were both already on radars. And despite that the consensus from people ive talked to is the highest upside is the WR. Incredible athlete from what people have said. Obviously it’s super early so who knows how they turn out but these are three kids with a massive upside who knows if they reach it but it’s a smart decision for BC on and off the field.

Seems like Pop is retweeting the 247 statement that he committed.

For QBs, I always look at how fast the ball travels. I hate the highlights of high arcing rainbows. They are all INTs at the next level. You want a prospect who can effortlessly throw line drives. Delaportas and Watson are perfect from that perspective. Both additionally have shown ability to scramble. Whether they make good decisions, are competitors/winners/leaders... whether they will put in the work to hone their accuracy... whether they’ll stay healthy. All questions marks. But, you never know the answers to those questions until they are about to get on campus.

Bottom line. Really like who’ve they’ve been choosing as their QB prospects.

He has not committed. The tweet is saying he is throwing to BC commit Joe Griffin

Can I assume that our going forward strategy with QBs is mining the transfer portal?

But, but, what about the wall!

Never understood the allure of South Bend. You want to choose Alabama/GA over BC fine...I get the :skank appeal.

But South Bend/ND has to be the least fun college town I have ever visited. Gameday was fun, but besides that :lame

Well, Watson is the highest ranked QB in the state of Massachusetts for the 2023 class, so, yeah of course take him. I am real happy he picked BC.

I have not been impressed with Hafley’s ability to recruit QBs. That said, the 5-foot-something Springfield kid ultimately decided on Whipple over Cignetti and Moorhead. Yuck.

AJ Black reported that BC was not recruiting him as a QB, and thus didn't expect him to choose BC.

Robinson verballed yesterday.

Saw his tape. Seems a bit raw. Often QBs have been trained and coached-up so much that the room for growth is minimal (beyond just game experience). I think Robinson is a big, athletic, fast kid who lets his natural ability overcome a lack of technique. I'd say there is a lot to work with, but a lot of work to be done. He doesn't seem like someone will come in and start. But, could once he gets a year or two in a program.
