And as the new coach at Boston College, he will try to build a program that ultimately can compete atop the ACC.
“I get excited just talking about it,” Hafley told The Post. “The pieces are here, the support is here at BC. Do I think we are going to be a finished product early? I don’t. When you work hard over time and do it the right way, it becomes real — and when it becomes real, you have a chance to have some special moments.”

“I asked myself, ‘What jobs are really what you believe in?’ ” Hafley said. “I felt like BC was that fit for me. I didn’t think it was a total rebuild. You recruit well, you keep coaching and developing. We just have to add our own personality.”
Hafley’s staff includes former Giants quarterbacks coach Frank Cignetti as offensive coordinator — to coach Notre Dame transfer Phil Jurkovec, a four-star quarterback — and Tem Lukabu as defensive coordinator. All three were together at Rutgers in 2011, and the staff has other New Jersey ties.
“I really believe you have to fit the scheme to the players,” Hafley said. “I want to have them playing really fast, really confident.”

I watched the last 40 mins. It was entertaining albeit because it was ESPN a huge chunk was wasted by commercials and other bullshit.
