10+1 OOC must be home or in state

ND full football member, all revenue shared equally

games start week after labor day

There’s a 0% chance MA is allowing fans at these games. There’s about the same chance they’re playing this season.

I’ll take that bet. ACC will get the season in by June 2021.

I don't care if it's one or two divisions, but they should play 9 or 10 ACC teams and 1 or 2 OOC. 11 regular season games with 8-team playoff. Games against Ohio, Maine or whomever are a waste of time for everybody.

I think you need at least 2 OOC games: one for non-conference rivals and one game against FCS which is essentially a glorified scrimmage.

Have a scrimmage against FCS in the summer, like an NFL preseason. But to have a regular season game against Maine is stupid.

The ACC is pretty much doing an all conference schedule.

The SEC is doing an all conference schedule.

The Big T(14)N is doing an all conference schedule.

Pac-12 is doing an all conference schedule.

But not the Big-XII which intends to play all their games as scheduled (at least, not the ones that haven't already been cancelled by their opponents.) I think that is because there are only 10 teams in their conference and a 9 game schedule just doesn't cut it. So they will take every OOC game that they can get.

I'm thinking, what if they discover that this becomes popular? What if these 5 conferences determine that they would rather ONLY play each other (at least until the bowl season?) I don't think that is likely, but I didn't think I'd ever see a time where 4.6 million US citizens get dreadfully sick from the same fucking virus.

agreed, IRregardless of my pessimism for the season the fact that these kids are taking enough responsibility to not get in situations that could put others and their season in jeopardy is impressive

Agreed 100% here. Also proves that these protocols work if followed (looking at you MLB).

Who cares if your are virus free in the Summer when the games are scheduled to be played in the Fall? Rutgers had all their players attend a COVID party on Stone Street a couple of weeks ago. They paused camp for a week, but ready for the season. Schiano is playing chess... ya'll just checkers.

Very dangerous but very calculating. Infect the whole team so they all recover with anti-bodies and full immunity before the season begins. I can't even imagine I would be happy with Hafley if he did.

It made national news yesterday. 28 players on the Rutgers team tested positive for Covid-19. I think Schiano was going for the whole team.

There could very well not be a season because of lack of coordination among the college football conferences, liability issues, or the situation getting worse.

That said, there's nothing sportswriters like less than writing about sports.

I am still betting on money. Wisconsin announced the 10 game schedule with zero fans will still run at a $100m loss. These schools need to salvage some money from the season or their whole athletic future goes under.

I think this is the end for a lot of athletic department past practices. Non-revenue sports will be cut to the bone. The ridiculous facilities arms race that saw programs build indoor water parks is also over. I also think coaching salaries in major sports will also see a massive hit. ADs will be as successful navigating these financially challenged waters as well as their Bowl counterparts like Gale Catlett (which is to say... not at all).
