HJS {l Wrote}:Btw... it is pathetic that folks here want the playoffs expanded so some sorta 9-3 BC squad can make it in an Elizabeth Warren Pizza-and-Ice-Cream for all fashion. If BC isn’t one of the best 4 teams, they shouldn’t be in. Just because they win the ACC in a down year shouldn’t demand a chance at a National Championship. Effing New England socialists.

I dont care about BC making it. Selection should not be completely arbitrary and conference champs of major conferences should be rewarded. In most years, the UCFs of the world should be rewarded for running the table, at least the best of them. Then you can have two at large bids to pleasure yourself over the two SEC teams that "are the best" but couldnt win their conference.

Clemson at times this season was threatened with the possibility of not making it even if they went undefeated because people were rightfully shitting on Clemson's conference. That would have been a huge mistake. Fortunately luck took it out of the equation and made this broke system work.

Agree 100%.

Playoff should be 8 teams but 3+1+12 games is a lot of football for one season. Do we go back to a 11 game season than? A lot of teams would be upset about that. That’s the only roadblock in my opinion.

Who did that? The selection committee or paid trolls like Feinbaum? I effing hate the “what if” scenarios that have never happened. You don’t redo entire the system because things could potentially happen. If a Power 5 conference champion is undefeated and left out of the playoffs, we can have that discussion. Until then, find something else to bitch as yet another year goes by without the slightest question as to who the best team is in college football.

The system stinks. Win your conference.

Agree 200%.

HJS {l Wrote}:Give HCRD credit. I get that Urban left him the most talented team in college football. But, he did a great job of masking Fields (so much so he was a Heisman finalist). Fields may eventually become great, but there was a reason he couldn’t win the starting QB job at UGA. He is simply not an elite passer or runner. The fact that he didn’t really throw a pick all year is mind-boggling. While it is likely the result of superior WRs and time given by a superior OL, it is also based on a scheme by HCRD to give Fields manageable throws and reads.

Main thing that impressed me was his elusiveness in pocket. He’s not a very good athlete but several times they had him lined up and he was able to escape

30/46 320 1 2

Switch the TDs and INTs and I would take that any game in a heartbeat. Because of one pick with the game on the line against the best team in college football over the past 3 years and he’s suddenly not elite? JFC

Good to see HJS defending the sanctity and time honored tradition of our 6 year system.

Hafley will be in the Coaches' Film Room for the National Championship on Monday. He will be accompanied by Gundy, Mason and Narduzzi.

I'll watch it. I love those film rooms already but it will be even better having a BC coach in there.
