If you want to save face, perhaps you should start a thread titled "Hafleys staff" so.we can discuss assistants.

Ruling on the above-post: Brutal, but accurate.

Ruling confirmed by appeals court.

I’m appealing to SCOTUS. It wasn’t about being first, it was more my curiosity and love of BC football that I had to know who it was going to be. I felt like I was doing a service to all those who shared my love for the team. I don’t care that I wasn’t the person to report, I’m just so glad that we got a great hire. That’s all I care about.

We should be thrilled with either even though there are reasons to be concerned about both (from a play call/scheme perspective), because both would be major poaches from solid programs even accounting for the promotion.

I’d prefer campanile to Washington. We would own NJ (at least the ones we wanted to target) which is key for us if we want to take the next step.

bringing in campanile would make for some interesting recruiting battles in nj with his brother being retained by the patron saint

Imagine grading the Addazio hire for CSU a D because he has a 57-54 career head coaching record, but then grading the Schiano hire for Rutgers an A even though he has a 68–67 career head coaching record...and most of that was in the watered down Big East.

Don't get me wrong, I think everyone would agree that Schiano is a better head coach than Steve Addazio but talk about low expectations.

That is a compliment. Schiano is highly regarded for 68-67 because it was at Rutgers. Daz is wildly disregarded because he was only 44-44 at BC.

I get Schiano got a payday and is back as HC, but it is now way easier for him to disappoint than meet expectations- everyone figures they'll be lighting up the Empire State Building Rutgers Dracula red again in a couple of years. Not when they have to play Penn Srate, tOSU, Michigan and State every year.

The staff I'd like to see is:

Chris Kiffin - DC (49ers pass rush specialist, Lane's brother! I think he would revitalize our pass rush and recruit well, Recruiting Coord at Ole Miss)
Mike McDaniel - OC/WR (49 ers Run game Coord, former NFL WR coach, He probably knows a ton about good offensive structure from Shanahan, but doesn't have chance to call plays there)
Antoine Smith - DL coach
Ricky Brown -ST/OLB
Matt Thurin - LB - (Def QC coach at Ohio State, from Ohio, has coached in Ivy league)
Phil Trautwein - OL
Eric Lewis - DB (Hafley will be for the most part coaching DB's anyway)
Katie Sowers - TE (First female coach in FBS football, BC is a trendsetter!)
Bobby Slowik - RB (49ers off asst)
Chandler Whittmer - QB (Ohio State grad asst, played QB at UConn)

There are a few other 49er coaches I would have interest in, and of course Al Washington. But I'll take Kiffin over Al

By the way, that Browns staff Hafley was on under Mike Pettine was awful. With the benefit of hindsight, a coaching staff tells you so much!!

Good idea. Maybe we should hire a transgender coach as well. Then BC would be a real trendsetter and perhaps the SJW students on campus would stay for the second half.

We may go 0-12, but who cares? As long as we're loud and proud.

After all the awful football we’ve watched the last decade, I would hope you can emerge from you cave based on the above comment.

The Bucs have 2 female coaches that have really helped the DL. Let’s hire the best coaches regardless of gender

Exactly - hire the best coaches. Don't hire a woman simply because she is a woman so we're trendsetters.

If they do the question submission thing at the press conference, please ask Hafley if he will be hiring any transgender coaches or if he intends to run the program like a retrograde troglodyte. Also will the quarterback be transgender and if not, why is he so bigoted?
