You don't need to be a weather expert to realize they're not playing this game. They're expecting storms around the stadium until well into the evening and ESPN has a 7 pm game.

Check out the radar, it'll make you chuckle.

I don't think it's world ending or property damage type weather, but you're not playing in a lightning storm.

The radar map is hilarious. There's a thin arc of high intensity storms which manages to pass in its entirety directly over Birmingham

See above. That offense was embarrassing.

Why would you start the game only to stop it 8 minutes later?

The hourly has thunder/lightening for the next 8 hours.

Whammy! :ace

I feel awful for anyone that went through any planning to attend this. $$$ spent for tailgating, travel, fuel costs, all that shit. The BC folks at this game deserve waaaaaaaaaaay fucking better. This ain't Jarmond's fault or anything, but this shit is just awful as fuck.

For this and the players, I hope they finish the game. I selfishly would like to watch as well because I think in this weather we can beat Cincy for our first top-25 win of the twenties. We didn't have many of those last decade so I will definitely take it.

Finish the game? You say that as if there are five minutes left in the 4th q and BC is up 10-7.

This game has barely started and there is thunder/lightening in the area for the next 8 hours it would be insane to keep trotting the players on and off the field. :ace

Standing underneath the stadium, just unbelievable for the second year in a row...in the same situation as last year. At least this years drive was only five hours instead of eight last year

Last year they could've had a contingency plan (there is an inside facility like 15 miles from the Cotton Bowl).

This game is just bad luck.

How is this even possible?

it's never happened before until the first responder bowl last year to have a game cancelled... and then for it to happen to the same team two years in a row?

Didn't ESPN step in and shut this down last year?

The Gator Bowl starts at 7.

There is a tweet that they will to be back on the field by 4:45. I wonder if ESPN's cut off time is 5. :ace
