Grosel is better than non-mobile Brown. Looking forward to a calm and reasoned discussion on the matter.

I suppose he could always recommit to BC (ie Sitkowski at Rutgers) but at a certain point, after two non-contact season ending injuries, maybe its time to just say enough it enough. Grosel is limited but not a huge downgrade from Brown

He isn't secure as the starter without Daz (who loved him). I hear is a good kid, good luck to him.

I hope he got his degree.
Also, meatbaum retweets something from Tom Leyden indicating that Brown could just be covering his bases.

Almost feel like we need a transfer portal thread as I expect these announcements to keep on coming especially with the coaching change but also with the way college football has changed in recent years.

Good luck to TB13, whether he stays or goes. Real tough injury luck. Never was most accurate but had a good deep ball and when mobile, gave the offense an added dimension.

100%...I wonder if our next coach realizes that Dennis Grosel is the best QB we have. He's in for a real treat.

We will probably need to look for a 5th year transfer whether Anthony stays or goes. Not sure Anthony will be ready or effective after this latest injury and the other backups are question marks.

By basically all accounts, Brown was a great young man with leadership qualities. God bless all of that.

On the field, he was awful for a player in his 4th year in a program. Not even borderline good for 4 years. Flat out awful. Daz's support of him is a arguably the worst indictment against Daz - and there is quite a resume of awful evidence against Daz.

There are many losers in all of this. Perhaps none more personal that Matt McDonald. It will be very interesting to watch him next year at Bowling Green. My hunch is that BC fans will be very disappointed in the what/could/should have been narrative.

By the way, let's hope the next coach recruits California. I get it that NJ, PA, OH, MA are all crucial. Spare me the reminder.

But for the love of god can somebody get on a plane and visit Mater Dei, Bosco, Servite, Orange Lutheran, J Serra, Santa Margarita? 5 Catholic schools in arguably the most competitive hs athletic conference in the nation. Many with transient, well educated, affluent parents who would love a BC look/love. Jesus its not like somebody is suggesting going big in Reno Nevada.

Wake up BC.

This is purely about the football player (heard he is a great guy).

He is an atrocious QB and I’d prefer Grosel. They both stink

Addazio never got Brown to make the leap and Brown's bad play cost us Purdue and Cuse last year and Kansas this year.

purdue agreed

think the defense allowing 42 & 48 points played a bigger role in the latter 2

He was a true freshman this year so i'm guessing the plan was for him to redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Rated a four-star quarterback by ESPN and the 226th ranked prospect in the ESPN300 … a three-star recruit by both 247Sports and Rivals … rated as the No. 12 quarterback nationally by ESPN and the No. 5 recruit out of Michigan … earned all-conference honors, while guiding team to city and district championships and a regional final appearance … threw for 2,115 yards and 23 touchdowns to just five interceptions and rushed for 263 yards and five scores as a junior.

The talent is there, but every pass I’ve ever seen him throw is about 100 mph.

He missed so many guys in both of those games, I think we score more and also keep them off the field.

It is sad that Addazio's best QB was Tyler Murphy...a guy he recruited to a different school.

Brown has had a real tough college football career here. I hope he succeeds wherever he goes, wherever he uses his last year of eligibility.
