Not to defend the girl, but a lot of her cheap shots were retaliatory. Just over the top and ridiculous. She should've been red-carded, but the refs shouldn't have let the game get that chippy.

Nope, didn't surprise me. It surprised me she wasn't punished earlier in the game and red carded. If the refs don't see it, a dirty player will continue to play dirty.

Kicking the ball at that girl probably isn't even a foul - she shouldn't have had her face on the ground. As for the rest, a few people have identified this as a situation where the refs never took control of the game. The more you let players get away with, the more they'll do. An early card or two would have cut off a lot of this crap. It's amazing that she managed to go so long without even a yellow.

The first girl elbowed her in the tit and she forearm blasted her in the back.

The rest were innocent and clean play. Those BYU girls provoked her.

Yep my FR year in HS we scrimmaged the girls Varsity team,and they were dirty they were going for our knees with spikes up,and a couple of other spots that it isn't cool to go after. And we can't do anything back although one kid try to slide tackle one of them that didn't go over well with the coaches or our team. Thye needed to play like that though because we still beat them. We have good girls teams though,this is their 3rd straight conference championship.

Post college - I played in an indoor league on a co-ed team (majority male)...I kept beating my (male) defender and he popped me in the eye with his elbow. I showed up at work the next day with a black eye. Lovely.

Girls are much dirtier than guys in soccer.
