Will he be a first rounder? Or early second?
If Daz isn’t here, and we don’t run him into the ground, I think he could benefit from a strong season. That said, I will be shocked if he stays.

Your an idiot for thinking that.

He won’t be either a first or second rounder. But, whatever he is, it will be higher this year than next. And, it has nothing to do with the coach going forward.

This is a stupid conversation.

If he's not a second rounder, the NFL is dumb. That said, 80% of the NFL is stupid.

Doesn't guaranteed money drop off big time after the first 2 rounds?

it drops off after one round. After 2 rounds it is negligible. Its all a craps shoot, particularly with running backs.

hansen {l Wrote}:He's an articulate dude and prob could make something of himself without the wear-and-tear of the nfl. if you are going to get absolutely punished for a minimum of 16 games a week in the NFL, plus minicamps and all the other practices, and have a career that is what... 3 years on average for a typical back? then Its my opinion you better be getting paid well to do it especially with the possible long-term side effects that come with playing.

I think he wants out if Addazio is back. With a new coach, he might stay and complete his degree. But there is no guarantee he'll go in round one or two this year.

Dillon is not a 1st or 2nd round pick. If that was the goal, he never should have been encouraged to carry all that weight, and he also should have worked on the pass catching more. James Conner was picked in the 3rd round. That is as high as Dillon could go. He faces a similar transition that Conner did. He'll have to drop weight, and learn to catch passes and pass block.

The guys the NFL will want this year are Swift , J Taylor, Etienne , Moss, Dobbins, and Akers. Watch the highlights of Swift and Etienne. That's what they want. Dillon will likely end up as like the 10th rated RB in this draft. And that will likely make him a 4th rd pick. If the crop gets easier somehow (guys don't leave), he'd be 3rd at best.

Michigan State and UNC will win. Nobody else will on that list. BC first team out which is what it should be with only 5 wins this year.

That fuckface on Ole Miss that cost them a chance to tie looks like he may have cost BC a chance to back into one of these games at 5-7 if the favorites win out.

MSU won by a FG which would have prob been the upset game BC would have needed had we lost.
Duke winning would have complicated things as well.
Thank god BC won.

All 78 spots have now been filled by six win teams.

All the bowl predictions I've seen today have UVA to the Orange Bowl. Assuming they lose to Clemson, are they really a lock (with 4 loses) to a New Year's 6 game? If so, I think it is a safe bet that BC won't end up in the Birmingham or Tampa.

Mandel is right on when he says the 10th spot is critical. it will determine what league is in the Orange Bowl. If a Big 10 team gets its then that would be best for the ACC as it gives the league another guaranteed spot. BC will still get fucked into a shitty bowl (and rightly so at 6-6) but for the conference as a whole I would think this would be the best possible outcome.

Another sign that Birmingham is the most likely destination. Cincinnati would be a quality opponent, so at least some consolation for the undesirable location.
