BC doesn’t fire coaches mid season

Another embarrassing Saturday, think I’ll need a break from bc football if this moron is coaching in 3 weeks

How about demotions? At this point, I’m willing to give Reid a crack. It would make Daz look weak though so iwnh.

Just so we are clear Reid got demoted after last year because with a ton more talent his defenses left a lot to be desired.
You want to see in game 11 against ND what Reid can do with a defensive void of talent?

I’m frustrated and want change.
I’m not sure I can stomach 2 more games of the status quo although you are probably right that this isn’t the right move.

Sheridan used to coach for the Giants. So, Logi thinks there is no one and no system that could ever do better than letting up 600 yard to Kansas.
For the record, I think Sheridan’s promotion to DC was worse than the promotion of Fitch. I think that literally anyone can coach the defense better. We are allowing 487 yard a game... 6th worse of all FBS teams (and worst of the Power 5). We are impressively doing so against one of the easiest schedules we’ve faced in recent memory. Sometimes, the real problem is the obvious one.
Eagle1999 {l Wrote}:Talent issue leading to scheme issue. The front 4 cannot get to the QB. Under any circumstances. So when we get tired of the QB picking us apart with no pressure we send 5. That means we play man coverage. Our “athletes” in the secondary cannot cover (or tackle for that matter) and that leads to big plays, yardage, scores. I like our linebacker unit but the rest is underperforming what you would expect for a Power 5 team.

Agreeance. I guess some can see the hidden talent that others cannot.

i don't follow the shirtless boy circuit that closely so using rivals as a measuring stick, daz isn't a good recruiter. toby was better and spaz was his equal. national rankings per rivals (they only go back to 2000). I didn't bother to do in-conference comparisons because it would be even more sad.

I get that Sparacio can't cover WRs in 4 WR sets, and the status of the safety and CB talent this season is depressing, but overall the Addazio era has led to better athletes, especially in the secondary and skill positions.
The guy should be crucified for not finding one QB in 7 years, and for not restocking the cupboard after all the NFL secondary talent left. But that's really the only recruiting criticism that exists. The guy is a terrible coach and they could make this defense better. Start with the simple start of playing nickel on third and long.
In a couple hours, Simmon, Yiadom, Harris et al will take the field for their respective teams. Other than Blackmon, when has BC had that much secondary talent in the NFL?

Yeah. It’s this.
The recruiting thing bothers me because it means that you have to admit he’s a great coach for taking a bunch of MAC players and coaching them up to be the peers of the 5-star recruits at FSU and VT. The truth is quite the opposite. He’s a very good identifier of talent. That’s why he’s been a valued recruiting coordinator over the years (and will be scooped up by a school like Bama almost immediately). Where he has been deplorable is in game day coaching and QB development. This is the first year that his D has been trash since the first two years of Donnie Brown.

Only 33 and nospace think Daz should be lauded for coaching up terrible talent. That’s all you need to know.

I’ll take that as a compliment coming from a guy who thinks Daz is an Xs and Os savant who coaches-up shitty players to 7 wins.
