If the points weren't bad enough, then look at yards allowed... a program-record 674 despite Clemson starters being pulled at 8 mins left in the third quarter.

I still maintain that this was probably the worst blowout ever.

This isn't remotely close to the worst loss ever.
And the question is dumb

Sorry to distract from the intriguing topic of why Daz sucks and should be fired.

The word “worst” could mean different things: painful, surprising, lopsided, etc. In terms of blowout losses for BC, it can’t get much worse than last night. That was a shitshow.

Yes, that's what makes the topic interesting in a masochistic way.

This wasn’t even the worst loss of the season.

Clemson is really good and BC isn’t. BC also quit which is odd under Addazio. Sucking and quitting get you to 59-7.

Yep. 1.week.after beating #1 ND, we hosted #3 WVU. We dominated the game but IIRC we fumbled 3 or 4 times inside the Redzone and couldn't put the game away, only to see the hillbillies take it late. We probably end up ranked top 5 and go to a top tier bowl - pre BCS and when bowl games mattered. That lost was devastating.

Worse losses in the last 25 years:

Kansas
3-0 loss to Wake a few years ago
1995 Army blowout at home in the rain
Spaz @Army
Diamond Ferri

This and the Diamond Ferri game are the "What If" games (and the 2 ACCGs) that'll fuck up my day every so often. The WVU game more so cuz I was a student, and I left NYC on Thanksgiving break to go back to school early only to watch that clusterfuck of a game.

Two other almost as shitty games I've attended was that Iowa game at Yankee Stadium and that inexplicable bowl loss to that wack AF Vanderbilt team in '09. Reason being it was sub freezing conditions for both. Each loss made the game forgettable.

daz probably has had a loss worse than this (varying criteria) every year he's been here:

2019: ku - similar beatdown but to a bad team
2018: fsu - simply inexcusable performance + coaching decisions
2017: iowa was pretty bad, but not worse than saturday
2016: vt - 49-0 / clemson home 56-10 / louisville 52-7 take your pick
2015: wake 3-0
2014: ped state (?)
2013: arizona (42-6 before garbage time nonsense)

what are you doing hansen

Close losses in winnable games and embarrassing blowouts are the hallmarks are Daz's time here.

1. That 49-0 really stands out to me as a terrible loss. I had forgotten about that one. Painful and a complete domination.
2. This one wasn’t the most painful by any means (04 Syracuse, army in the rain, or WVU, last year FSU, etc.) you listed some seriously painful games but they weren’t blowout like this. I can’t remember another game where I felt we had zero chance of winning and we completely dominated throughout like we were Saturday night other than maybe 49-0 VT.)
3. Kansas is playing fairly well recently ( lost to a ranked Texas by a couple) and by the end of the season I don’t think that one one will even be that awful. This is not the laughingstock Kansas of a few years ago.

If by "worst" you mean one sided beatdown irregardless of opponent, the VTech, Clemson & FSU games in 2016 and 2013 Arizona bowl game were bad but I am going with Clemson 2019. I don't remember a team ever putting in their backups against us midway through the 3rdQ... and their backups were much better than our starters. Clemson could have hung 100 on us Saturday night if they wanted to.

on the positive (but really ultimately negative side), was the season opener vs VT a top 5 win of Daz's time here?

here are the other contenders I could think of:
2013: VT (8-5)
2014: USC (obviously...actually went on to 9-4), @ NCST (8-5)
2017: @ Ville (8-5)
2019: VT (5-2)

Meatbaum might also mention FSU 2017, although that was an awful team.

Nonono, your stat I remember from elsewhere on here. It's just that this list of "top" wins...it's absolutely nothing to hang your hat on.

Might have to start a list of "close game, but ended up losing by a slim margin":
Penn State at the Pinstripe Bowl would be one
Syracuse with Rettig as QB during Andre's big yr
