Clemson 59 - BC 7
Game over at halftime. Clemson 2nd string put in early in the third.

In terms of kicks to the scrotum, agreed. I was thinking in terms of blowouts.

This. Expected BC to run every down which would have lead to more points, but I never hansened the expected outcome.

The Kansas loss was more embarrassing, but I think this is the most lopsided BC loss I've witnessed. Clemson could have put up at least 80 if they wanted to. The defense had no chance of stopping them and BC was out-gained by 500 yards even though Clemson took out their starters early in the second half. That was really, really, bad.

Watching the Oregon-WSU game and the WSU DC left a letter of resignation a few weeks ago. I think ours may want to do the same thing.

I feel asleep at half time, woke up just as Clemson scored and went to bed. I don't think I could have planned it better.

Didn’t watch the game (the pills are working!) but the 2012 loss to FSU (51-7) was pretty awful, but for the fact it locked in Spaz as a goner.
But listening to the first quarter in the radio (guess I need to run to CVS for a refill) the announcers were already lamenting how slow BC looked in every way. So, yeah, this is the worst.

In space, it was a lot of bad angles and defenders biting on moves. Don't think it was so much speed as it was talent/experience.
But even when we were on them and trying to make tackles they seemed to be a lot bigger/stronger and they broke them easily.
Clemson is so far ahead of most teams right now but with that said, no way we should have lost like that.

Hansen, you can make excuses for anything BC related. There's always a speed gap, but usually it's not that big. Last night BC started two Patriot League safeties and a very slow outside LB that was mostly lined up as a nickel back.

Maybe not the worst loss, but certainly one of the worst games ever was that sorrowful game against Wake, what was it, three years ago? Two teams trying to outdo each others' incompetence.....That's the exact point I knew what a boob Addazio was.

kansas, wake, UL this year are worse. fsu last year is worse.

there's 4 that are worse than last night and those are just the most recent ones i can think of off the top of my head. that is sad because it means we have had a lot of bad losses over the years.

Here are the worst point losses for each year.

2009 34 pt loss to # 10 ranked Va Tech
2010 27 pt loss to # 25 ranked NC State
2011 31 pt loss to # 23 ranked FSU
2012 44 pt loss to # 10 ranked FSU
2013 28 pt loss to # 19 ranked USC
2014 19 pt loss to #24 ranked Louisville
2015 17 pt loss to # 2 ranked Clemson
2016 49 pt loss to #18 ranked Va Tech
2017 29 pt loss to # 11 ranked ND
2018 20 pt loss to #1 ranked Clemson
2019 52 pt loss to #4 ranked Clemson

FWIW: BC is 1 - 21 vs Ranked teams since Daz hired.
The 1 being USC.

Its not the worst loss. Clemson has a bunch of 4 and 5 star athletes. BC has a bunch of FCS athletes. Clemson had the best college quarterback in the country. BC had a walk-on as their QB. It was simply the case of one team being vastly superior than the other team mathematically. There was nothing Addazio or any of the coaches could do or say in the locker room that would have changed anything. There was nothing Addazio or any of the coaches could do or say during this week of practice that could have given this team a chance of winning this game. Nothing.

Recruiting is everything. BC USED to recruit players that could challenge (and even beat) Clemson. Toby's kids whipped Clemson's ass three years in a row. If you can't recruit (and Addazio can't), then your defensive players look slow on the field vs the other teams players. Its not the player's fault. They are just not at the same level as Clemson, not anymore.

The worst loss is the game of which we do not speak.

the 2016 loss was terrible but last night Dabo could have scored at least another 4 TDs if he kept the starters in (maybe more?). it was an abysmal performance.

I was actually trying to argue that the speed gap wasn't a problem. it was skill (talent).

WTF was Daz thinking about the LB trying to cover the WR? it was clear quite early to anyone with a pulse that it wasn't going to work. that should be a fireable offense on its own. or is it just an indication of how bad the secondary truly is?

It was an abysmal performance Hansen. It was. But it is not the worst loss in BC history because none of us were shocked (in the least) at the eventual outcome in a binary sense. Ask a Michigan Wolverine fan what their worst loss was in Michigan history and they will most likely point to a 2 point loss in 2007.

This season was going nowhere anyway. As Coach Bellichick would say "We're on to Syracuse." I don't give a fuck what coach ketchup is going to say about this game.

Clemson outgained Boston College, 674-177. The 497-yard differential is Clemson’s biggest against an ACC opponent since the conference’s founding in 1953, surpassing a 464-yard advantage against Wake Forest in 2000.
