How many losses will it take?

What's the minimum number of losses in your opinion for Dazaster to be put out of his misery... NOT how many losses you think we are going to end up with.

i.e. if you vote 7, then you think 5-7 get him canned but 6-6 or higher and he's safe.

He can talk away 5-7 by 1) saying how his starting QB got hurt and 2) two of those losses were by a combined 5 points. That, he will argue, is the difference between 5-7 and 7-5.

Marty is in an interesting position. He is on the record saying his goal is a team that is consistently ranked with a "pop" season every so often. Daz is not that coach, but does he bully Marty into doing otherwise.

If he finishes 4-8 but win #4 is somehow Notre Dame, nothing matters and he will be back.

I actually feel bad for the assistants. They have families that get constantly uprooted. A guy like White has had a nice tenure here. I think he’s truly comfortable at BC and isn’t terribly excited to moving to a place like Stillwater. I also take this as further evidence that they all see Daz’s time coming to an end. This isn’t any sort of surprise. It’s more a foregone conclusion. Ultimately, there’s no reason to rub it in their face. And, there is no reason to think Marty doesn’t already no where the fan base stands right now.

At the end of the day, I will not look back at Daz’s time with the same vitriol as Spaz’s. I think Daz actually tried and had some success. However, if he isn’t fired this year, I will begin to disdain the program like I did 8 years ago.

I feel the same as HJS here (which feels weird). Daz put some entertaining teams out there and we've had some memorable wins, but ultimately it's time for a change.

The high point for his tenure was the first year. He took a team that went 2-10 and got them to 7 wins and made Andre a Heisman finalist. It’s been pretty much downhill ever since (win over a USC team coached by a drunk guy notwithstanding).

I think Daz must get the team bowl eligible to keep his job. 7 losses and I think he will be "invited to resign" or some such nonsense. And then whoever comes in will have the political cover of "...well we are rebuilding and we think by year 3 of my administration we can compete...." and we'll all have to suck a lemon for at least 3 years.

Daz should have been gone after 2015.
