Here’s the most likely scenario: Schiano goes back to Rutgres for 5 mil a year and BC keeps Adazzio after we win next week to be bowl eligible.

I don’t know if Jarmond has the stones to fire both revenue coaches in one cycle.

Have to imagine it’s Schiano at this point if they are making a move.

With the Heinz Hammer shaving off the stache and assistants getting in fistfights in the locker room, the writing is on the wall.

Marty and Schiano are boys. Keep the younger Camp to boost NJ recruiting even more.

The closest thing to Dabo’s elevation would be Al Washington or Campanile if they were still at BC. Mike Reed is simply not close to being the same comparison.

This is a good example of why I think people on this board might be underrating college assistants and head coaches and overrating NFL assistants. Roman is a popular candidate at the moment, but commentators have talked about how the Ravens have brought in former college coaches as consultants in efforts to build an offense around Lamar Jackson (ex: Paul Johnson). The NFL is a copycat league and they are currently copying college offenses as more dual threat QBs enter the league. I view certain college programs as having the most imaginative offenses at any level, with the added bonus that the coaches are used to recruiting.

Worst part about this might be the fact I have to deal with another year of HomoJS listing coaches that will never come here or would never be approved by Leahy in a million years.

What I like about NFL coaches (Carmichael, Roman whoever) is that they can pitch their experience in the league to kids (especially QBs). Having said that, I'd be much happier with Al Washington than someone like Beilima. Boomers need not apply.

Steve Addazio is not going to be the coach of BC next year. The train has left the station.

The fact that Sgt Slaughter is going after the Rutgers job hit the public shows how far along things are with him NOT coming back to BC.

Greg Schiano might get the job at Rutgers and he might not. He was never ever going to be the coach of BC. That was a fucktareded rumor put out there by Schiano's people to pretend he has other options.

There is no turning back at this point. The Heinz Hammer as BCMurt pointed out ironically ends his run at BC at Heinz Field. :ace

Yeah, Daz is totally feeding talking points to people (team is so young, injured). This piece, for those who don't want to read, says BC has awful facilities (weight room was a broom closet) and terrible recruiting base and those notorious BC academic restrictions. "Few have done more with less." Bye Steve (unless of course, Schiano realizes his gambit dropping BC's name has backfired and grabs the job from you). Saying he's the one who turned around Temple is ballsy.

That NJ coach said Rutgers should hire someone who is a coach in a BCS conference. There hasn't been a BCS in years. He also said BC has the smallest stadium in the conference. The Wake and Duke stadiums are smaller and Pitt and Miami don't even have stadiums.

Stadium size is perfect for our the size of our school.
Also, the previous weight room was prob 5000 square feet by my estimate although it was shared with other teams. Far from a broom closet.

The football team has had its own weight room in the Yawkey center since 2005 (14 years since the football team shared). It is on par with what other schools offer.

If the Al Washington rumor is true, who do we want as coordinators? Think the OC hire would be extremely important for this to be successful.

I think Coach B is a company man doing what he's told. I bet giving free reign our offense would NOT be so one sided.

Fake news.

Addazio may eventually be fired. Big Al may eventually be hired (as a coordinator or head coach). But, what isn't remotely true is that either decision has officially been made. To show how far-fetched that rumor actually is, Al Washington wasn't on Daz's staff when Jarmond was hired. While he could do some vetting of him as a candidate (through his 1 year with Fickell and half season at OSU), the two likely have never met.

Here's one thing you should remember as we enter the unknown... the least connected/informed group is the former players. Just think back to the Steve Lively days.

I don't think a decision has been made. That said, I don't think tomorrow's game plays much of a factor. Daz's camp publicly pushing for the the Rutgers job likely soured whatever internal support remained.

Jarmond may have a plan as to how he'd like to proceed next week regarding Daz. It is a certainty that this plan has not been solicited to Leahy, the Board, Daz or uninformed alumni groups. BC will deliberately, stubbornly, frustratingly go through all the proper procedures before making any decision. While Jarmond knows how much it will contractually cost to get rid of Daz. What he does not know is whether he can pay him to leave and how much money he will have to pay for the next coach. That is something he needs before determining who he should target. It is a likelihood that there are candidates that Jarmond would like to explore but won't because of financials. This will likely include anyone with a significant buyout from their current team.

The best thing ever would be for Daz to get the RU gig. That will save BC money which will increase the hiring pool which will allow Marty to go after bigger fish. All those giddy about a termination fail to realize the trickle-down negative impact of the buyout. BTW, Al Washington. Mike Reed and Anthony Campanile would all come very, very cheap.

If a decision has not been made, this program is in worse condition than I thought. Why would you base whether or not to make a change based on one relatively meaningless game when you have seven years of evidence of Addazio's capabilities.

The decision hasn't been made because the decision doesn't have to be made yet. After tomorrow, Jarmond will talk to Fr. Bill. Then, things will begin to be set in motion (one way or the other). At BC, there is nothing mere about the formalities.

I think you are contradicting yourself. Assuming the immovable issue of finances/ buyouts etc...either Jarmond has a plan/baseline (maybe not a candidate yet) that has been sufficiently internally vetted, or it is no plan at all, because its groundless without knowing what parameters he has to play within.

Either way, it does speak to the ridiculous mess that (continues) to be BC Athletics. What a way to run a $25 or $30+M annual enterprise.
