I believe it was last year when they implemented a rule allowing a fair catch inside the 25 to be brought out to the 25. That's why Richmond did that a couple of times.

But on the other side, Richmond was pooch kicking so BC was fair catching it because it wasn't going to our returners. I'm guessing the Richmond kicker can't kick it to the end zone consistently and they didn't want to risk giving up a long return.

It's still early. I expect tackling to get better as the season goes on. Teams -- not coached by Frank Spaziani -- hardly tackle any more in practice so I expect this to be the new normal at the beginning of the season. Hard to be good at something if you barely practice it.

That pick by Tate was pretty athletic. I think he is much better than you are giving him credit for.

Crowd was pretty decent considering the opponent, especially the students. Lots were fuller than I expected.

BC was in the "Also receiving votes" category last week at 1-0. You don't drop out of that after a win, no matter how shitty the opponent.

Basically, the entire game. Yeah they were a little sloppy on defense (couldn't make some tackles) but they only gave up one TD so there isn't that much to get that in fuss over.

Is Dennis Grosel really the backup QB? Like in a game that matters?

I was in my car when he came in and Meter basically said that Addazio told him that our backup QBs stink.

Interesting.

Yeah well when you can't recruit known blue chip athletes that you know will produce, you have to bring it whatever you can and hope and against hope that maybe you will find a diamond in the rough that all the other schools overlooked. If I understand Jack Ryan here, we have no diamonds at the QB position and (as far as I'm concerned) we really haven't had any since 2007.
