It’s amazing how quickly SU jumped over BC. I don’t get all the hype about SU, they were embarrassed by ND last year without Dungy and he is gone now. They have a terrible defense yet they are picked 2nd in the Atlantic and preseason top 25. Daz is 2-4 against SU. It’s pathetic that MJ brought this guy back for another two years.

Go Eagles!

Because every sports media personality in the country went to Syracuse. That's why.

Syracuse is viewed as the 2nd best team in the ACC this preseason. UVA was picked to win the Coastal Division. They represent an inconvenient truth for the idiots who promote the importance of recruiting rankings. Since 2014, BC has had its recruiting classes listed immediately next to UVA and SU. All 3 schools languished in the bottom 10 of the ACC over the past 5 recruiting cycles (which are the classes from which today’s teams have been exclusively culled).

Syracuse will come back to earth this year. They didn't beat ANYONE last year. WVU was without their two best players in the bowl game. They are also benefitting from a down ACC (just like we did when Clemson and FSU were down in the mid 2000s). They MAYBE get to 8 wins this year...and that's with Holy Cross, Western Michigan, Maryland and Liberty on their schedule.

Virginia lost 5 games last year and I don't expect them to beat out Miami or VT this year. Aside from all that, there are going to be outlier seasons once every 10-15 years (due to a few upsets or a hot QB), but that doesn't negate the accuracy of the recruiting rankings.

Cuse could very likely go 3-3 to start the season.

Negating zero is zero.
