I think this would be pretty huge. Not because he’s necessarily a game changing talent (who knows), but he’s the type of recruit that we should get and haven’t for a long time.

Good for him. Stanford is a mess right now football-wise. However, no one can argue with the value of that diploma. I hope he carries on his legacy at BC, but completely understand a Stanford decision (in comparison to a crappy B10 state school education).

If I were a high school football star and didn't have an unhealthy obsession with BC, I might choose Stanford. That being said, these guys want to become the best player possible in order to get a big NFL pay day. So if a program is in bad shape, it's not necessarily a slam dunk decision. Not saying Stanford is at that low level right now, but Stanford is not always the best choice if you want to maximize your NFL potential. In this particular scenario, Kendall might have a better path to playing time at BC and that could contribute to better development and a higher NFL draft status. That equals more money and that's what's it's all about.
