This new DB recruiting Is awesome. No more Rositano, El Attrach and Palmer patrolling around back there.

Hafley surprisingly spoke pretty highly of Palmer. Maybe some actual coaching can help him perform better next year.

Nick Saban isn’t helping Palmer at S. He’d be a better LB.

Thinking the focus has been on the defense as Hafley probably sees weakness there plus he needs guys for his scheme. Daz has been recruiting mostly OL/TE/RBs for years so it will all balance out.

Are we out of the running? This is one mass kid I really wanted us to sign.

Michigan is putting the pressure on and has some momentum with him. If he commits in the next couple weeks it would probably be Michigan. If he holds off I think that lends the advantage to BC and Stanford. Don’t really think it’s over with regardless of what happens though. Probably the one guy in MA that they’d continue after regardless of commitment status or anything else. They really aren’t that high on this MA class for the most part.

Surprising as 247 would have him as our highest ranked commit. I realize the numbers are meaningless and developed by people who aren’t coaches but hard to imagine him not being worth taking in. So either he’s wicked overrated or there are some other issues there.

I hope the Stanford offer is a game changer. Michigan is a tough school to get into if you are from Mass. But, it not terribly difficult if you are from Mich. What that results in is an academic culture that is very different than the private schools (where almost everyone reached some level of high school proficiency). The only State school that has similar private school culture is UVA. The result is that State schools have strong networks within Region. But, that influence wanes as you move away. The chances that any kid with a Power 5 offer is going to make a living in the NFL is still ridiculously small. But, a FB player at Stanford can make an even better living upon graduation with a Stanford diploma (regardless of the NFL).

The parents are smart. The kid is smart. He should go to Stanford. If not Stanford, he should go to Duke, the Ivies or maybe Northwestern. Or, if he wants to raise his family in Boston, he should got to BC. I think Michigan is a mistake. He’d be choosing it for FB (whose present isn’t as good as its past and whose staff is likely to undergo a major change) under the guise of academics (which is a culture that isn’t anywhere near as robust as the research lab rats have inflated).

Believe it’s their 4th QB offer and those are the 4 to watch right now. This kid, who I think should be their top target upside is through the roof, then they’ve also offered Lonnie White from PA, Hampton Fay from TX, and Tahj Bullock from NJ.

Took a quick look at the film, this won't be his only P5 offer in the end.

For what it's worth, Kendall seems to "like" a lot of BC recruiting related content on Twitter that comes up on my feed. Maybe he's someone who still will be a fan despite wanting to go to somewhere bigger and better (which I wouldn't blame him for), but I'd imagine we have a shot if he's paying this kind of attention.

I do hope Kendall has a clear plan for undergrad beyond football. He should know that as strong as Stanford is academically, the football team has had issues with fifth-years they wanted to keep getting rejected for graduate studies.

At least in the sciences (all types) Michigan tends to have excellent graduate programs. If his focus on to get a good foundation academically and to have a good opportunity for football, then I hope he really considers BC and doesn't think he's letting people down by failing to "raise the profile" of Massachusetts HS football.
