2019 Schedule

Postby claver2010 on Tue Jan 15, 2019 2:13 pm

released tomorrow at 2

rumor picking up steam of late is we open hosting vt (potentially on the new acc network).

that would give us 3 straight home games to start the season:
vt / richmond / ku
Bush, George H W
Cosby, Bill
Disick, Scott
Flair, Ric
Griffin, Kathy
Khamenei, Ali
McCain, John
Pele
Soros, George

If Daz wants to do damage in the ACC Atlantic (coming in 2nd to Clemson), you gotta think that will be a must win game at home.

This is a boring slate of home games, but it isn't some sort of crazy difficult gauntlet. There are 5 gimme wins on the schedule with 5 games where we should be competitive. See you in Detroit next December.

what happened to cuse always being the last game?

not expecting a good crowd for VT

@clemson, @cuse, FSU, @ND, @Pit has a recipe for 0-5

probably gonna have to hear about how we were "ranked earlier this year" as the jackass defends himself after a 30-13 pitt loss given we should be 5-1 or 6-0 to start the year

1 home game in October and 1 in November. That blows. We're getting screwed because of the ACC Network debut. And there are two bye weeks?

I'd say the odds are pretty good we're undefeated, ranked and then crushed by Clemson again as Daz runs out another losing streak to end the year. 8-4 plus a bowl loss is my wildly optimistic prediction.

As sure as the sun rising in the east....and Sarge can once again crow bout another sterling bowl, especially after crowing all season long about of his Power 5 only schedule.

The 2019 season overall will dazzle as much as that home slate.

yeah, this seems like it'll shape up to have the same narrative as 2018 - decent start, get ranked in the 20s upper teams, fall apart in the second half to end 7-5.

The best defensive unit Addazio ever coached led the team to a 3-9 record. But they beat Howard.

I actually think they'll score a bunch of points. I think Mike will do a good job as an OC.

The defense is losing a ton of talent and I have no faith in these coaches against the talent Dabo, Fuentes, etc. are rolling out there.

No.

Five wins, and even Kansas with Miles may give the simpleton fits. If Rutgers weren't so horrible, I could see him choking that game, too.

Meh. There were 3 Seniors on the defensive line this year and they couldn't stop the run. Look at all the yards they gave up to not only Wake Forest, but also that powerhouse Temple. It was almost like the only way they got off the field without giving up points was with an interception. And I think that guy is still on the team.
