New Years games thread

The excitement of the New Years Bowl Games has diminished for me. Wish the playoff semis were today.

based on the activity seems like you're not alone at all. again next year it'll be on a saturday w the peach & fiesta being the semis on the saturday before new years. these bowls are ticking timebombs with players wisely sitting out, for many reasons expansion of playoff seems inevitable.

interesting the rose bowl has served as a discussion point on the collapse and future of the p12. they win all the olympic sports championships but clearly struggle in the revenue sports. financially they're falling behind and apparently looked at shopping ownership of conf to a PE firm. their commish makes multiples more than any other commisioner, they have the highest expenses by a healthy margin. their channel has fallen flat and still isn't on directv (i believe acc already has distribution on optimum, verizon & directv all set).

as i type this former fhcrd has tosu marching in for another td

The Citrus Bowl was good.
