For posterity.

I think he is just another version of Addazio, but I will guess Schiano.

I would be shocked if it’s not Daz.
He’s gonna need to pull in 6 wins though to get there barring an extreme and credible injury situation. With the talent on the roster and a healthy AJ, I’d be shocked for us to win less than 6.

Matt Burke (Miami Dolphins) or Joe Lombardi (New Orleans Saints).

Bill O'Brien, Greg Schiano, Al Golden, Troy Calhoun, Neal Brown, Pete Carmichael Jr, Mike London, Bob Diaco or Greg Roman
(was there anyone else I incessantly promoted over the years?)

This was fun, but we all know it will remain Daziani.

I'll say 50% chance it's Addazio, 50% chance it's someone from HJS's list or someone else.

Someone else. Even if he coached 40% harder and smarter than he did in 2018, the 2019 team is not winning 6 games. Leading to buyout in the face of a festering wave of vitriolic negativity that even the BOT cannot ignore.

It'll be the Dazzler. He's got this 7-6 racket down to a science.

I think next year's team is going to be bad.

Schiano seems as likely as anyone I've seen.

Still Daz. It's become abundantly clear that the powers-that-be are happy as long as the program continues to make bowl games, keep players out of the police blotter and graduate them. It's like TOB all over again.

I will go on the record to say that it will NOT be Schiano.

AC:

It is easy to say who it won't be. Take a guess and say who it will be. Or pull an HJS and list 50 guys so you can claim you were right.

Addazio needs 8 wins or more or he won't be retained. Assuming that doesn't happen, the coach will not be Daz. That's all I can commit to at this point.

It won't be Ryan Day but he'll be available soon.

The stupidity of saying the contract requires 8 wins to save his job is freaking hilarious! If starts 1-5, changes QB’s and wins 6 straight, he gets fired? LMFAO that people believe this win total bull shit. He got a 2 year extension and he will be the HC for at least two more seasons. The new OC will get a two year contract. Live with it.

Ok. It seems clear that my self-deprecating post of listing all those I promoted over the years (many of whom proved terrible in other gigs) fell flat.

Daz will be the coach this time time next year. That’s my prediction.

I get why ATL believes Schiano... great recruiter, success at a northeast school, widely regarded at tOSU. But, if Jarmond is still here when the next HC is hired (probably due to Daz’s retirement due to a catsup mishap), I think he goes young up-and-comer with little to no BC connection. Neal Brown seems like someone who will be in a better gig by the time we are looking. So, I will go with Mike Houston. He’ll have a couple of years under his belt at ECU and has been a winner everywhere he’s been. I also think (whoever is promoting Matt Burke) isn’t far off on what Jarmond would pick. I just don’t think he would be interested in BC by the time we are looking.

Kick in the junk scenario: Daz and here's how, he goes 5-7 in the regular season, makes a bowl with one of those exemptions and they decide to retain him because Leahy doesn't believe in firing a coach who make a bowl.

My real pick as they will only win 4 or 5 games is Jason Candle.

Never count out seven win Steve.
If Brown improve his pass completion rate and AJ stays healthy, it will be more than enough to win 6-7. I also think addition by subtraction will improve our OL. DL is a define question mark though. It’s Hard to scheme (overcome) a horrible DL.

P.s. I love the nickname seven win Steve. It’s the ultimate backhanded compliment. It’s an insult too but not so much that BC social media will delete your Comment. :kudos to whomever came up with it.
