Offensive Coordinator?

I'm thinking we need one. And soon with the bowl gaming coming up in a couple of weeks.
Ideally, you want the bowl game to be a prep/preview of next year's team and the system you plan to run.
Who are our somewhat realistic options? When will the hire take place? What changes could this OC bring?

p.s. I like BC football. :screamyeagle :screamyeagle :screamyeagle

p.p.s. I fully expect TRE (rhymes with homo who hates sports) to ruin this thread with how Daz sucks and it doesn't matter but it's Christmas season and a time to be hopeful.

I expect a hurry up, no huddle goal-line offense.

It's my expectation that whomever Addazio chooses will be offensive.

apparently blauds threw Liam Coen (asst WR coach for rams?) name out there. daz did make some bizzare mimicking the rams offense comment a couple of days ago:

https://www.therams.com/team/coaches-roster/liam-coen

Liam Coen joined the Los Angeles Rams as assistant wide receivers in February 2018 after spending the 2016-17 seasons serving as the offensive coordinator for the University of Maine.

Coen was the signal caller for Maine for two years under Joe Harasymiak and was instrumental in quarterback Dan Collin’s emergence in 2016, as well as the growth of freshman quarterback Chris Ferguson in 2017.

Under Coen in 2017, the Black Bears had the fourth-best scoring offense in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA), which was spearheaded by RB Josh Mack who led the FCS in rush yards. Mack rushed for 1,335 yards and nine touchdowns, averaging 5.5 yards per carry and 133.9 rushing yards per game during the 2017 campaign. As a unit, the Black Bears averaged 24.6 points and 388.4 total yards per game during the 2017 season, after putting up 22.3 points and 357.6 total yards per contest in 2016.

Prior to his time at Maine, Coen spent the 2014-15 season as the pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Massachusetts, where he mentored first-team All Mid-American Conference QB Blake Frohnapfel.

He previously served as the quarterbacks coach at Brown University in 2010 and from 2012-2013 and as the pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Rhode Island in 2011.

Coen earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from UMass in 2008 and was a four-year starter at quarterback for the Minutemen.

Blauds stole that idea from ATL who had it on his blog even before Dazoo's quote about the Rams.

My two cents on Coen is that it is precisely the type of hire a HC who seeks to have complete control of the OC would make.

Probably coming from nothing other than Blauds, but I just got a cbs sports alert saying we were hiring Liam Coen

Need a meme with Blauds reading Eagle and then decides to "report it" then followed by Daz reading Blauds and deciding to hire Coen....

Coen grew up a huge BC fan and wanted to go to BC. (His Grandfather played for BC).

O'Brien decided to give Chris Crane a scholarship instead of Coen.

Which is really weird, because no one was worse than Chris Crane.

https://goholycross.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=33100&ATCLID=211691200

Update: Coen was briefly the Offensive Coordinator of Holy Cross before leaving to join the Rams. He would be the first person to ever serve as Offensive Coordinator for both Holy Cross and Boston College*

*Maybe. I don't know for sure. Will have to check that. Very plausible, though.

i know that nowaist is going to again push for randy shannon but i think that ship has sailed. his brilliant mind for offense will certainly have bigger name programs banging down his door.

therefore, i think the choice is clear...

Speaking of Clemson, Has anyone asked the Clemson board who our next OC is going to be?
I would but I can’t find my tigernet password.

This would be a great hire but apparently he is calling plays at clemson already even though he is co-OC. Plus he is now getting interviews at head coaching jobs.

with a one year guarantee. of course, the real observant oc would already recognize that t.s. is an asshole of epic proportions and he probably wouldn't be able to work with him for more than a year anyway

This is missing some key plays:
- Sweep play to our 250 lb RB
- Drag route to one of our many 275 lb TEs

Another correction is the curl routes always need to be run short of the First Down marker
