I think the points people are making all add up to the fact that Addazio is a fucking buffoon in simply trying to get a game to the 4th quarter every week. This is a bad idea because in the close games in the 4th quarter the things that matter are COACHING, CLUTCH QB PLAY, and a solid KICKING GAME. We don’t have any of those fucking things. This man throws away 3 quarters of football every week because he is a fucking clown. This game should have been over early but he is not interested in stuff like this.

The entire premise of this guy’s football philosophy is fucking ridiculous. He belongs at Umass or Holy Cross. Get the fuck out of my alma later.

Yeah it's a dumb line of argument. It's not like you just go to the QB store and recruit a QB, every high school in the country is playing with dual threat QBs. You just have to get a good one.

I think the points add up to BC can't recruit a QB. Period.

When we blew last year and we all mocked his “it’ll be beautiful” comment then he obviously must have handed off the offense b/c we looked completely diff. It saved his ass. Then we went back to sucking when someone noted he wasn’t calling plays, so he could save his ass again. If he stays, which I have no doubt he will, prepare for more ass covering. Next years theme: the o line is so young.

I have no reason to believe he can't recruit a QB. I don't think he can develop one.

No one is saying that it will go all the way to Dan Marino style statues. But you have already seen defenses in college (and HS) adapt to the spread. It's not like they're static.

Ok, I'll concede the point until we see whether there is any development next year.

On the QB recruiting subject, I gotta believe that part of the problem is that Addazio's history hasn't demonstrated his commitment to a consistent offensive strategy over 6 years, and "toting the rock" aint gonna turn any skilled QB's head, if he has any aspirations of being used as a full complement QB.

Maybe Addazio hasn't yet realized that his true calling is as HC at a service academy.

And "dual threat" QBs will eventually morph into the "next greatest thing" much like west coast, spread, etc..etc.....but my "fucking old" memory can't remember that parade of "dual threat" QB's that have lasted 5 years in the NFL.....probably because they don't.

7-5 is probably the best case scenario with a "wildly inaccurate " QB. After 3 years at BC (2 as the starter), this is who he is.
