TOS has a great article up that says he wanted to commit early so that it would benefit the team. He seems pretty solid given his reasonings. Would like to think Mullings is next....

247 has him #13 OT and #108 overall (and #2 in Mass, #1 on TOS). Expect him to drop fast with his BC verbal.

This was from a free article on TOS:

We’ve been narrowing my list down and we decided that it would be more beneficial to the team that I commit to if I committed now and it would also be beneficial for the other schools that were recruiting me,” Pyne said. “Boston College is a pretty unbelievable place. I think they can develop me well and I’ll have a great chance to get on the field. It’s a great academic institution and it’s closer to home. There are a million reasons why I chose Boston College but overall it felt like the right fit.

“Just look a Chris Lindstrom and how great he did at Boston College and in the Senior Bowl,” he said. “Being a lineman, I think the coaches at Boston College will do a great job developing me there. I’m from Massachusetts and I know what a degree from Boston College means. It kind of speaks for itself if you’re from around here.

“I like a lot of the kids that are there,” said Pyne. “I got to know a lot of them even before they got to Boston College because my brothers are friends with a lot of them too. I just felt good about Boston College.

“I’m just going to try to enjoy this for a week or two and then I’ll start talking to the local guys about how special Boston College is,” he said. “I know I’ll talk to guys like Kalel Mullings, Ozzy Trapilo, Cam Large, and there are bunch of other great players up here in Massachusetts and the Northeast. We want to build a good program. I hope and plan to bring in more players.”

Congratulations to the staff for pulling him in. That's a hell of an offer sheet. Sounds like a good kid, and a great get. This has to be one of the strongest years of Massachusetts players I can remember

This is really surprising. It was prob down to BC & ND, had to think ND was leader with his cousin committed. Probably Addazios biggest commit ever, from an offer perspective, bigger than Dillon easily

agreed on all counts, thought he was ticketed to nd

Not sure if this was mentioned anywhere, but 247 mentioned hes going to be enrolling early, in January.

As mentioned before, this hopefully jump starts the class, they're in a strong position to fill the entire OL class from Mass (Pyne/Zinter/Trapillo) on its own and there are some other good pieces around the rest of New England

How many times did BC get left at the altar in December? I wouldn't hold my breath on this commit sticking.

What happens with this class and Daz if BC only wins 4-5 games? Does this class get Daz another extension? Does he get fired? This new OC better be terrific because I really doubt Daz gets fired this year even with a losing record.

Cam Large needs to be our next top target hes starting to blow up. LSU Ohio st and few other big time schools have offered not that long ago. No TE in last years class and most of our million TEs on the roster now will be graduating after this season so playing time is there. Hopefully having a big time LT for you for the next 4 year helps out with the local QBs that are highly rated as well. I think McQuarrie is ours with his brother on the team and having been to pretty much every home game last year. Things are looking good for this class.

Brian Dohn just made 2 crystal ball predictions to BC for Ozzy Trapillo and Justin Barron (6’4 WR from CT with offer from Cuse to date).

This kinda confirms what we already know about the star system...

Blake Carrienger, 6'6, 315 lb offensive tackle out of Grace Christian Academy is created out of thin air by some HS students. He tweets out that he has an offer from Alabama, and both 247 and Rivals put him in their database and rank him as a 3-star. Basically, both sites were catfished.

https://twitter.com/RudeDawgRules/statu ... 5233325056

Rivals ranked him as a 5.5 3-star based on the Bama offer alone. No video available, no film, nothing to evaluate on, just numbers and an alleged offer.

Tyler Van Dyke from Suffield Academy (CT) just picked up a Louisville offer. Would think either him or McQuarrie are pretty strong possibilities to fill the '20 QB spot.

Not sure if our bleacher report feed is exhaustive, but based on that, it looks like Lewis is taking on a big role in recruiting and that we'll be going after some California kids as a result.

Korey Smith LB. Funny thing is he was already bumped down from being a 4star on 247, but that was a couple months ago. Only played in 2 games last year because he was injured. Would be a great start to the defense especially how last year ended with our LB class.

He was a top 200 kid on both sites before the season where he didn’t play much he’s a big time pickup. Big on academics so BC has been out front for a long time now. Surprised they haven’t offered Chris Mayo his 4 star OL teammate they’ve visited BC together before and he has serious interest.

Credit to Daz and his staff. They have consistently been able to recruit & develop talent well as evident by the number of guys at the combine and in the NFL.

Those STA teammates, García and Smith are coming up for a visit in a couple of weeks. Both seem to have us out ahead and I wouldn't be surprised if one or both commit while they're up here.

The IPF has really helped, and Daz does do a great job with recruiting/developing. If he had the ego and staff budget to run the program hands off like Dabo we could make some real strides.

I honestly think that eventually the talent is going to get us 10 wins. Same thing happened with Clemson. Keep recruiting well enough and eventually it overcomes shitty coaching.

Looks like Parker McQuarrie visited Wisconsin this weekend. 247 posted a prediction there (I dont think that means much) but some other writers have also posted predictions for Tyler Van Dyke from CT to Wiscy as well, who is a possibility for BC at QB.

Wisco has a top 3 QB/high 4 star true frosh coming in this year. I would think they wouldn't be the biggest competition. Either way we desperately need a QB.
