Those were both PWOs and I’d imagine that’s what it is for BC too but I don’t know for sure. Would be an odd offer and take this early. You’d think a kid who’s a scholarship guy would have more then 18 catches for 220 yards.

Since I haven’t used this in a while, this is not an ACC caliber offer.

This is slightly OT, but Alexander Marshall from Andover who was class of 2017 and committed to FSU, has entered the transfer portal. I dont know how serious BC was out of HS but considering that he is local, may be a name to keep an eye on

He’d have to sit out 2 years to transfer to BC (unless he already graduated).

USC QB (former BC target, high 4-star) is in the portal. Will be eligible immediately (in 2020) for two years.

Daz can't be expected to get in the top 4 from a TE from the ISL.
Also, looks like the Reid move is paying dividends!

Large to Wisconsin

We're 2-16 against top 25 teams under Daz. I think the recruiting rankings are spot on.

In the 2019 NFL draft, the ACC had 28 players drafted for an average of 2 players per team. BC had 4 players drafted, including a first rounder. The year before, BC had 3 players drafted.

Overall, BC has 24 players on NFL rosters or at camp. That is ninth in the ACC. After Miami, FSU and Clemson, there isn't that much difference.

1. Miami - 57
2. Florida St. - 45
3. Clemson - 42
4. Pitt - 34

13. Syracuse - 12
14. GA Tech - 11

Updating ACC players on rosters now that cuts have been made:

Must have a ok SAT score then (I know 1000/1600 used to be more than enough... I don't know how low BC will accept but I do know that the NCAA minimum is 780/1600 for 2.6). BC would accept the argument a recruit didn't apply themselves in the past but is capable/willing to do the work in the future. Better players get more leeway. But, At the end of the day, admission comes down basically two questions 1) "is this kid going to graduate?" because APR! and 2) is their anything questionable about their character. BC does not want any kids where there is a chance they could be bring shame to the university by getting arrested. This was the way things were done in the 90s under Mahoney and I could almost bet money it's the same way today. Not sure if he is still running admissions or not.

With the exception of Stanford, who I think has higher admission standards than everyone else for FB, the above is right. BC can let in any kid who meets NCAA minimum standards. It comes down to being able to handle the work load at schools like BC, ND, Duke, Northwestern, etc and stay eligible. This is where larger state schools have a major advantage over academic slanted schools. Because of the size, they can hide kids in programs to keep them eligible.

You can probably look at most rosters and get an idea as to which academic programs fit in that mold (as an example, one program you see often at Clemson for FB players is Parks, Tourism and Recreation Management, my guess is there’s a reason for that). The BC equivalent is probably the communications major if I had to guess ?

Some of them maybe worried that the next coach may pull their offer. That said, this was looking like Daz's best class (on paper) and I hope we keep them all. We really need on OLB and another RB.

BC has always honored the commitments. Some coaches were honest about “fit” into their schemes, but all scholars have been honored I believe. Gunnell has to get that word out.

I know for a fact that BC can take kids with a 2.6. I know a certain recruit who had a 2.6 that Spaz recruited. Kid ended up taking up Ped State on their offer.

But yeah... BC does not have academic standard as much as we would have liked to think. The coach can get anyone through.
