DuchesneEast {l Wrote}:Spaz has been doing well recruiting the skill position except for QB and BC should never have flirted with the dual threat QB when we were putting pocket passers in the NFL.

I'll have to check that out on Aggie Vision this weekend. Big game at BYU.

What are you talking about ? What have they done this year (or last) that would be a deterrent to a pro-style/traditional drop back type QB ? If anything, you can make an argument they haven't used Brown's mobility enough in an attempt to keep him healthy. They have effectively tried molding AB (a "dual threat") into more of a traditional QB role and all of the QB's they have brought in since (McDonald, Valece, Johnson) are all considered "pro-style". This trope by corners and others that Addazio is trying to hunt for Tim Tebow/dual-threat QB's really cant be more from the truth.

Not only that, but our 1st recruit for next season is a high level WR. Spaz has been doing well recruiting the skill position except for QB and BC should never have flirted with the dual threat QB when we were putting pocket passers in the NFL.

We run basically 4 TE sets and roll out passes to a dude with a neck roll. No one else in the nation runs such a bland offense. They are going to have to put together an entirely new offensive philosophy and I just don't trust that Daz can do that.

I feel like this is a bit of an over-exaggeration. If anything, this year's offense has been the most dynamic since the Jags/Logan days.

Sam Darnold was considered a dual threat coming out of HS. The definitions of “drop back” has changed since everyone is out of the gun. I just mean a QB that can throw

I assume so, if he played '16, '17, '18, next year would be his 4th season in 5 years so Im guessing thats the likely scenario (might Butler not allow graduate students i.e. the ivy league scenario ?). I really dont know much

I didn't put the pieces together until just now, but one name to keep a serious eye on for 2020 is Regen Terry, 6'3/240lb DE from Arizona. He is the brother of of current FR Reggie Terry Jr and son of Reggie Terry who is an assistant AD of football ops.

BC was the first to offer, but since then, has picked up ASU and yesterday was offered by Arizona.

There are new NCAA rules as it relates to recruiting kids of "coaches". I'm not sure exactly what is what, but there are some limitations that actually may make such a recruitment difficult.

The employee has to be an employee for a certain time before kid comes and kid cannot walk on. For example night Pasqualoni had stayed his son would have been a manager instead of a walk on.

Something like that. They offered Eamonn Dennis as well from St Johns. Doesn’t appear to have a BC offer yet but I’m sure he will get one (also makes me question how serious the UM offer is with him only having umass and Yukon to date)

I have a cousin who lives south of Atlanta, and his son attends Eagles Landing Christian Academy. BC has offered '20 WR Justin Robinson, 6-4 200 three stars according to 247. Has offers from Georgia, ND, Wake Forest, Virginia and South Carolina

*I see that BC has now offered an OL, Josh Remetich, from my high school Holy Cross (teammate of WR Kirkwood). He’s one of the top lineman in Louisiana for 2020. I hope the coaches have paid attention to the LB there, Tyler Grubbs, he’s a beast!

This is really surprising. It was prob down to BC & ND, had to think ND was leader with his cousin committed. Probably Addazios biggest commit ever, from an offer perspective, bigger than Dillon easily
