It is downright stupid that BC is only down by 5 points here.

That was simply a game-killer. Enough teams have lined up against us, played like shit and managed to pull one out. Our chance to be that guy was stolen.

Again, not saying we deserve to win, but we have certainly been on the other side of those games enough.

Cheevers and Allen could be decent NFL players, but anyone else being brought up on the D is kind of a joke. It's amazing that a few years ago we had a defense comprised of almost all players that not only made the NFL, but also turned out to be legit in the league.

I said as much to everyone watching the game today at Gallaghers. I'm done with Ray Smith, he is fucking useless. They literally ran right past him for more than two thirds of their rushing yardage today. This whole defense, pretty much useless. As I was saying to Teddy, without the big play, they can't get off the field. That was ever so evident today given NCState didn't punt until mid way through the 4th quarter. Calling that blitz down in the endzone was the only reason why Finley threw such a horrible pass that was intercepted.

No turnovers, NCState wins 52 to 10. Fuck that shit. The fact that BC was (perhaps) a coin flip to win the game if that receiver drops that 3rd down pass to end the game is comical on so many levels given how badly they played for the first 3 quarter.

this team is not good at football.

armin tamzarian was working the crowd in the visitor section today. he showed up at just the right time in the 3rd, when the team decided to try. he disappeared again just before the “fumble” that killed the game.

So, what did I miss? It was a great day at Burning Tree. I thought it was going to rain the whole day, but it never did and it was basically empty because everyone wanted to watch the Kavanaugh vote. I had the power fade working all day and I actually made a few longish par puts and with the weather we have been having down here, it is still summer conditions so I can’t attribute my good putting to autumn slow greens.

Maybe I’ll hit Caves Valley for Louisville. The place is deserted on the weekends and it is always fun to intentionally hit a ball into Brooks Robinson’s backyard. We will probably win, but I am completely disinterested in the product.

Nothing. BC never-ever had any control of the line of scrimmage. BC's offensive line sucked (against a defense that graduated 9 players last year) and the defensive line sucked even worse. BC's offense couldn't stay on the field and the defense couldn't get off it.

State had 533 yards of offense to BC's measly 318 (half of which was on 3 or 4 plays.) At one point, BC was 0 for 9 on 3rd down and State was 8 for 11. State had more than double the time of possession and almost 3 times as many 1st downs. Were it not for such a lopsided turnover situation and the most incredible special teams play that I have ever seen from BC, State wins by 45 and not, 5.

What is not measured in these cold statistics is that if State didn't make their last 1st down on 3rd and long, BC may have been as much of a coin flip to win the fucking game.

Is it just me, or does anyone else thinks it is weird that WR CJ Lewis can't get any playing time after impressing at Purdue? It would be weird to hold him out for redshirt reasons, since unlike other young players, he has actually already demonstrated in games that he can play.
