Defensive tackles?
There were two seasons when Boston College had the #1 defense in the country against the run, 2006 and (I believe) 2010. These were all Toby and Jagodzinski recruits. And even in 2008 (Ron Brace and BJ Raji) they were incredible against the run (once again, Toby recruits.) But twice in the last 12 years, #1 defense in the country against the run. When Spaz was running the defense (or even as a head coach) we got it done, and got it done against the run-happy ACC I might add.
Today? With 5 straight recruiting classes that are ranked dead last in the ACC? Ha. Nope. That is unless you are under the delusion that Temple and Wake Forest are these powerhouse teams with unstoppable rushing attacks. I am not under that delusion.
I'm quoting this because I don't feel like pointing out everything wrong with it, but I also don't want him to be able to delete it before someone else rips it to shreds
No.
You are quoting it because you know its true and you want someone else to do your dirty work of trying to "argue against it." Apparently you are too "pussy" to "nut up" and admit that I have a point and you would rather suck Teddy's dick.
Are you going to dispute that BC had the #1 defense in ALL of college football (against the run) TWICE? You know that they did. You know. I know it. And I know that Addazio had no part of it. But Spaz had a hand in it. TWICE. Two fucking times CF.
I am sick and tired of you guys making excuses for these kids.
Only 8-4 teams talk about their run defense title.
no - it appears 6-7/7-6 teams do too
Yup, shart conveniently ignored that BC had a top 10 run defense 3 of the last 4 years, too. Must have been Spaz.
Teddy, 2006 and 2010. #1 in ALL of college football against the run. And I think they were #3 or #4 in 2008. Common denominator here is Spaz (and Toby's recruits.)
Look I don't give a shit about any of the past. I want to win now. You want to win now. We want to win now. Just don't bullshit me and give us lawyer's answer saying that it is "
perplexing" that they can't stop the run. Fuck you Teddy and your perplexing. These interior tackles are not good (and neither are the linebackers.) They are not good because Addazio is a shit-recruiter. The front seven's overall lack of performance against the run is what makes the two defensive ends look so spectacular against the pass, its because they are the only two (of the seven) performing defensively. And because the two defensive ends are ALL that Addazio has for the front seven, they are never allowed to leave the field when the defense can't get OFF the field.
Fuck everything else.
