The bar for QB play since Addazio's arrival is set so low, that he is singularly redefining the importance of the position in his offensive scheme. This season should be no different with Dillon and a serviceable OL masking the QB shortcomings. Then, if anyone (Perry?) shows a pulse, we can all cheer our return to the ACC championship game and beyond.

RB? Not QB?
Early hope that was a typo.
IF RB, Das should have kept Richard Wilson or tried at least. Hilliman would have been even better but I suspect he wanted to be a number 1 so that would have been harder.

P.s. this is not a knock on Fadule whatsoever. Dude is a total B.C. guy. He’s done whatever asked of him and then some filling in wherever and whenever needed.

They must really like Davon Jones at LB.

Nice counterpoint. That could be true, but I have no idea.

BC had Kiy Hester on campus this weekend (being recruited by Campanile). He is a 5th year safety from Miami/Rutgers who is looking at BC for his last year of eligibility.

He was originally at DePaul Catholic in NJ and committed to Rutgers, then flipped to Miami with offers including BC, Rutgers, MSU, Arkansas, Illinois, Michigan, Nebraska, tOSU, Pitt, UNC, WV. I believe he transferred back to Rutgers w/o ever playing at Miami after his mother got sick.

Saw something on twitter suggesting that Josh Beekman is joining the BC staff in some capacity. Was at a Kansas juco, Garden City, where he was the offensive line coach in 2017. Per his bio, he was an OL coach at Concord University, a GA at FIU from 2013-2015 and also worked at Eastern Kentucky, with the Miami Dolphins, and was a S&C intern at BC.

Not sure what capacity he is coming to BC in (I imagine with the OL but not sure if as GA or intern ?).

BC was involved with him way back when he committed to Miami.

Boston College head football coach Steve Addazio announced new titles for Scot Loeffler and Anthony Campanile on the coaching staff. Loeffler has been elevated to Deputy Head Coach Offense/Offensive Coordinator and will continue to coach the quarterbacks while Campanile has been promoted to co-defensive coordinator in addition to serving as the secondary coach for the Eagles.

This is a bit OT, but just got fwd an article saying Paul Zukauskas is stepping down at Lawrence Academy, going to work for some startup he is involved with. LA has obviously been pretty reliable source last few years.

Not that it really means anything, but this was buried in a Globe article about Robinson and Bowman:

BC football coach Steve Addazio announced that offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Scot Loeffler is now also deputy head coach, and secondary coach Anthony Campanile has been promoted to co-defensive coordinator while continuing to guide the secondary.

If we could get better weather for next Saturday it would be great.

A fellow EO member and I nearly froze last year at the Spring Game, really gross weather day.

The rain didn't help either.
Current forecast is cloudy, low of 45 and high of 51.

If we need to play either of those QBs it’s going to be catestrophic on offense.

Valdez and Morias looked pretty good

Perry looks to have a decent arm anyway. McDonald has a Philip Rivers kind of throwing motion.
Lot of guys out but Palmer was the only one that was visibly injured.
Couldn't understand the PA announcer at all.

Agree about Perry, he had a couple of nice throws but it was hard to tell anything about him or this team from today's game. What was that drill they were running before the start of the second half? And I could have done without Mick Jager screaming start me up and Steven Tyler screaming whatever the fuck it was at maximum volume during half time.

The new baseball and softball fields are really nice. BC hit the nail on the head with the design.
