eepstein was jealous because his weener is too micro to penetrate saran wrap, so he couldn't participate in the hot lunch (since nospace was eating it all, as a fatty is wont to do)

This is a good post. You should feel good for posting it.

Get him as much practice catching the ball as possible. Regardless of who the QB is, he's our best offensive weapon and we need to exploit every possible way to get him the ball.

With a healthy, developing Brown BC's offense can be great in 2018.

Even if Brown isn't ready to go and we have another Flutie/Fadule situation, I think 2018 will look more like '13 than it will '15. With the OL and Dillon we'll be a predictable one dimensional offense that still puts up yards and points, enough to probably get back to 6-7 wins. The Chase Rettig year all over again...

:screamyeagle :koolaid :screamyeagle :koolaid :screamyeagle

Chase Rettig had a 62% completion percentage and a 17/8 TD/INT ratio that year. He didn't throw for a lot of yards, but you need a QB

You think 62% was good?! Chase had man coverage and no safety to contend with on almost every single play that season because every team put 9 men in the box. On every play.

Barely an exaggeration.

Brown was barely 50% with the same coverage and only because of one game.

so i guess the answer to my question from a few weeks ago is "no, flutie is no longer a thing"

also on frye - being described as "run game coordinator" would make me run away from the excess chromosomes being displayed by my boss. if we had a chef would she be the "make food coordinator"

yes, my tolerance for the heinz hammer is somehow reaching new lows

lastly - discussions of depth and experience means that he reads these boards... but i wonder when he falls back into excuse bot *beep@#%boop#&% youth and injuries*

Per transcript ...

"I mean, they're talented guys Christian McStravick, I mean, McStravick and CJ Lewis are big, fast receivers. They're big. CJ's 6'4", 4.5 guys 6'4". McStravick is a 4.5 guy, he's 6'3.5". You've got fast guys, we have thick, strong-handed guys, we've got tall, fast guys. I mean, it's been a long time, maybe if ever, if we've had the depth that we've had at that wide receiver position that can fly like that and quarterbacks that can get it to them."

Idk what youre expecting him to say or what type of depth you want, these press conferences are all the same BS year after year

So the 1st team OL yesterday was the same that ended last season but this was the first practice, without Baker and Johnson and with an OL coach that started a week ago.
My prediction for the UMass game (L to R): Montiero - Schmal - Baker - Lindstrom - Petrula.
This could be our best OL since 2006.

"If the OL comes together..." has become a cliche around here. In 2018 it's not so much a question of coming together, it's about the OL being as dominant as it could potentially be. The fact that we don't play a top team in September means we'll have plenty of time for the offense to find it's rhythm. The talent is in place for the 2018 offense to rival the 2007 offense.

Assuming we have a healthy/functional QB, of course...

That 2007 team also had one of the great BC offensive lines of all time (Castonzo, Cherilus, Tennant, Poles, Ramsey). I'm excited about the team we have coming back next year, but it's a little early to start comparing it to 2007's.

2006 was markedly better. The 2007 OL was a little weaker than people remember, and one-dimensional. Logan letting Ryan off the leash covered up the deficiencies.

In particular, Costonzo ended up being very good, but got pushed around a bit as a freshman.

i think it was a little more than a bit for anthony, not to be unexpected with a 265 lb true FR starting at tackle. interestingly enough i don't recall jags bringing that up every single presser

anyway, based on the limited video bc put out yesterday davon is still at LB

OL is: montiero - schmal - petrula - phillips - lidstrom

seems like they have petrula penciled in for tackle long term. i thought he was one of the better of the group towards the end of the year even as a true FR at a new position
