2018 NFL Draft

Kiper has Landry going at #25 in the 1st. He and Yiadom will be playing in the SR Bowl. Kam Moore was also invited but will not be playing because of the injury (shoulder?) he suffered in the VTech game.

Of note, Christian Wilkins is not declaring for the draft.

It's Kam Moore.

I've also seen Wilkins projected to the first round (but not Top 10). However, I've also seen it with the caveat of questioning his size. He is listed at 6'4" and most believe he is 2-3 inches shorter than that. Also, he was completely a non-factor in the Bama loss. I don't know if he was hurt, but he was dominated by each member of the Bama OLine.

I was interested in Landry at one point for the Bucs, but not at 7.

Landry also is not playing now.

The growth of the DBs has been interesting to watch. One of the better units on the team. Simmons, Johnson both in the NFL, now Yiadom and Kam Moore. Simmons was having a good season this year until his injury.

Was one of the biggest weaknesses on the team for quite a while, imo.

And I think Yiadom can make it, too. He might be one of those late-round steals

I think you guys might be looking for safety help - Fitzpatrick would be perfect if he fell a bit

Unlikely they seem to really like Justin Evans.

They’ll draft Nelson or Chubb.

Chubb won't be on the board. Nelson.

I think Chubb could still be there because teams will take QBs in front of us.

Either way draft Nelson, kick Marpet back to guard and sign a center.

The DL is still the worst in the NFL

Really don’t think the QBs coming out this year are any good.
If I was an NFL GM, no way in hell I risk a high first round pick on an unproven QB.

Rosen, Allen and Darnold at minimum will go between 1-6 and wouldn’t surprise me if some team traded up to get a Mayfield.

I know what will happen but how many times have teams wasted picks on a QB in the first?
I forgot about Rosen. He seems the safest of the four but still a risk imo.

People said that in 2016 and that draft produced Wentz, Goff and Prescott. If you're the GM of the Browns, Giants, Broncos or Jets you should swing for the fences.

People were pretty sure Goff and Wentz were good.

This group is much different. The arguable best QB in the draft, Darnold, was mediocre this season.

Still young. I think Rosen sitting behind Eli will be a great exp for him. Unlike Brady or Farve, I can actually see Eli doing some mentoring.

After his rookie season is a year of hindsight being 20/20. The question is whether heading into the draft, this draft is like the 2016 draft for QBs. His premise is no one knew with those three and look what happened! so you should take a flyer on Rosen, Darnaud, Allen or Mayfield. My premise is that heading into the draft in 2016, there were far less questions about either Goff or Wentz than there are about these 4 guys. The perception of Goff a year later is irrelevant to that point.

I happen to think teams would be stupid to use a top 10 pick on any of the 4. That's not to say that there isn't a good player there, but these QBs are not in the top 15-20 players in the country. QB desperate teams are certain to overreach. Maybe they will get lucky.

Goff had never called a play from an actual huddle and Wentz played at ND State. There were plenty of questions. No idea if there were more or less than this class, but there were plenty.

Neither was an Andrew Luck type “sure thing” or a Cam Newton like phenomenon due to the points mentioned above (Goff wasn’t allowed to change anything at the line, Wentz competition issues), but the bruises on this years apples are a lot worse IMO.

Is that something a person would actually want? Eli is fucking terrible and mildly innocentbystanderded.
