BC vs Michigan would be awesome

No chance Michigan falls to Pinstripe.

I don't think its going to make much difference for BC's bowl position, win or lose. Whether they go 3-5 in conference or 4-4, they are probably getting the last bowl slot. But we'll see.

Don't 7-5 teams have to get invited before 6-6 teams are considered?

I am not sure overall record has anything to do with it.

I do know that the bowl MUST take an ACC team that goes 5-3 in conference over a team that went 3-5. But a school that goes 4-4 could be passed over by a school that goes 3-5. That is unless the BC Rule is no longer in effect.

The BC rule is no longer in effect, but HJS is right about all of the 7-5 teams getting invites before 6-6 teams are considered.

how about 5-6 florida state. could they get an invite before a 6-6 bc team?
now in the street there is violence
and, and a lots of work to be done
no place to hang out our washing
and, and i can't blame all on the sun
good god we gonna rock down to electric avenue
and then we'll take it higher

No. Same with a 5-6 GTech team. Winning records get seated before non-winning which gets seated before losing. I think all 5-6 teams need a waiver (FSU's academic history likely won't qualify).

1. A couple of interesting questions. One was about whether Wade prefers to be in the shotgun or under Center and another one was about what the team does during Thanksgiving week.
2. It’s amazing how much more relaxed Daz is compared in these press conferences as compared to earlier in the season. What a difference winning makes on his demeanor.
3. He totally drew a blank on that one question about the Syracuse player! Lol

They are going to be either 5-7 or 6-6 as they are making up that postponed game.

They are also reporting that Walter Reyes won't play and his back-up (Damien Rhodes) is questionable.

BC versus North Texas in Louisiana is equally craptastic, maybe more so because it's in the middle of nowhere

Huh, don't remember Rhodes being the backup. Do remember the game being over after his first carry.

I was not there for the bowl game, but Shreveport is, by and large, a hellhole. It is even worse if you are a visitor and looking for something to do.

Most people hear 'Shreveport, Louisiana' and only hear 'Louisiana' and equate it with 'New Orleans!' and this could not be further from the truth. To give you an idea, Shreveport is a good 4.5 hours drive from New Orleans or Baton Rouge, but less than an hour from the Arkansas border and probably only something like 3 hrs from Little Rock (note that all drive times are quoted in Louisiana speeds).

But the real distinguishing factor has to do specifically with Louisiana and most of you won't be aware of it ... somewhere about 30/40% of the way into Louisiana from the south, the effect of the Gulf weather drops dramatically, and lots of things change - the agriculture is different, the ground is different (the inland sea ended around here), but historically, these places were reached through overland routes and everything further south was mostly only accessible via boat. So there is a massive cultural divide. Everything south of this magical line is port city-ish, Cajun, Creole, French, pirates, Jackson's army of scum-murderating Nigels , etc.

Everything north of that magical line is batshit crazy in some bad, bad ways.

In other words, stay the Hell out of Shreveport unless you want to drop $20 a hand riverboat gambling with Texarkana's finest. I can promise you that you don't want to do this.

Dump. Avoid. Even basing yourself out of New Orleans involves a ten hour drive across some territory where "y'all aren't from around here".
