Do you believe BC’s class is barely better than that of Rutgers?

No, but I worry about my maroon colored glasses. I was dumb enough to think that we would beat FSU and Cuse.

Do you think we lost because of talent?

247 is saying BC landed a transfer OL from Davidson, Zion Johnson (6'3/266) orig from Maryland. Looks like he played 2 years at Davidson so would sit and have 2 left

Matt Alaimo is also reportedly transferring from UCLA. He was a 2018 (?) TE recruit who was orig committed to Pitt and eventually ended up at UCLA. From St. Joes in NJ (same school as 2019 signee Conor Grieco) and may be looking to play baseball as well in college. Visiting Rutgers, BC would prob be in good shape normally (who knows now with no Camp). Believe he has a younger brother who plays QB and is a 2020 who holds a BC offer

Would he have to sit for a year?
Interior OL is very low on our list of needs (and there are many) for next season.

Edit: it looks like he may be enrolled for the second semester; there is a photo of him on campus today with the three January enrollees.

I haven't seen anything that would suggest he would avoid a RS year. All I can tell from the Davidson website is that he played in 2017 (nothing was updated for 2018). Unlike basketball, being here a semester early will not be beneficial from a playing perspective, but I suppose he will get spring ball this year then technically be eligible 2nd semester next year ?

I think Joshua Youngblood was a former Temple commit and has an offer from Kansas State (and maybe UCLA). I don't think BC has offered yet but likely will this weekend on his visit

Dalton is official. Will have two years left to play and will be graduating so will be here for summer camp. Need more Hunter Long to play with him think he has way more potential than the other 100 tight ends coming back.

Based on what? His 2 catches at Ped State or the fluidity of his hips from a combine he attended in his Junior year of HS?

It's only a two year commitment so I think Dalton is well worth the risk. He's high end talent and BC should be getting his best years.

I agree, it's a good get.

seems like recruiting has now morphed into where the first recruiting signing session is for kids out of high school and the second recruiting signing session is for transfers. interesting how things have changed.

Are we THAT desperate that a dude with 3 career receptions is a good get?

who knows how much PT he got. or how many times he was targeted. we really wanted back during his first recruitment so clearly the coaches see something in him that might work well in our system.

EDIT. it will also be a good test to see how our coaches are at identifying/developing talent.

Dalton is no lose right now for BC. They got all their primary targets early. So now they still have scholarships to use. So do you take a flyer on a kid they didn't love six weeks ago and tie that scholarship up for four years? Or do you take a full grown 20 year old, who might improve but at worst is a functional P5 player. And it is only a two year commitment.

Nothing takes away excuses from that man. He's a walking living breathing excuse machine. The next time he takes accountability for anything will be the first, and above all why he's loathed by so many in that program.

Five year geographical breakdown of ACC recruiting. I expect our NJ numbers will start to decrease with Campanile gone.

Looks like Miami OL transfer Mahoney is on board, nice depth piece and he has a chance to be a starter.

He only played in 3 games in his third year with the program. The first 2 games and then not again until the 11th. Was injured? I guess Daz doesn't care that he decommitted on him. Oh well, we will actually need him in 2020.
