Any mention of recovery time anywhere? Will he be ready for the spring?

no mention of what injury it was. the former head doc for the chargers has carved a 2nd career evaluating / writing about injuries for some newspaper and confirmed it looked like an acl tear

that would mean no spring ball either

daz said perry is backup and has talked w him and family about potential for a november addition to the rev mike memorial redshirt burning pile

I feel like this doesn't really affect the end of the year. And they can even go back to run run pass punt as their ideal offensive approach! But the games will likely be more slog fests than points-splosions.

Not to discount the coaching ineptitude, but Daziani really has had terrible luck with injuries over his tenure.

Did he hire Rice Cakes as his S&C coach.

A 5th year ain't coming to BC unless he is guaranteed the starting job.

Is there truth to Fade being injured/out for year ? If they're considering burning Perry I would have to imagine that its the case.

Playing Perry at this point of the season would be very stupid, even for Cap'n Catsup.

unless both wade and brown are out. do you trot flutie back out there?

Baum posted the new depth chart following Brown and Perry is listed behind Wade. Honestly, I would just go with Smith and let him run read option with Dillon/Hilliman. The TD vs. FSU was probably the best deep ball thrown all year, he's obviously still somewhat competent

I thought Flutie drunk drove himself off the team a couple of offseasons ago. Is he still here?

Agreed. I don't think the QB choice is going to impact the outcome of any of these games, so no reason to play Perry, even if Wade gets hurt.

Smith, Flutie, a drunken Shinskie, Harold Landry, Unicorn Man, Peas and/or Carrots...I don't care. There's no reason to play Perry just to secure your spot in the Motor City Bowl.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean the Heinz Hammer won't do it.

If Wade can't beat UConn, you play Perry. Sucks to burn a redshirt, but you can just redshirt him again next year. Plenty of QBs have redshirted after playing as true freshmen: Mutryn, Porter, We are in Year 5. There is no playing for the future. If Addazio can't beat UConn, he sucks worse than any of us thought.

I disagree. If both Brown and Wade went down earlier in the season, you play Perry. Not at 5-5.

we really talking about burning a redshirt in the final 2 games of another mediocre season?

jesus christ

i can already hear the excuse train coming down the tracks 12 months from now when we are 6-4..."you cant count this year his qb is rehabbing from an acl injury"

were gonna be stuck with this bozo for a full decade, arent we?

if addazio cant beat uconn, he shouldn't be allowed to coach against syracuse. we are 3 touchdown favorites and it should be 5.

we said the same thing in 2015 but were subjected to the curb jumper

daz should be able to be yukon with nospace at qb, this is a team that's allowing something like 30 more yards per game throwing than any other team in decades

Daz basically said the same thing in the postgame conference. Forget the exact words, but basically said there's a big difference in deciding whether to burn a redshirt early in the season and at the end of the season. I doubt he'll burn Perry.

Play Wade. If he beats UConn -- which we should be able to do without a starting QB -- then there's a lot less pressure for the Syracuse game and Wade gets 4 weeks to practice to be functional for the bowl. Beat UConn and the QB situation is basically a non-issue. There's essentially no difference between 6-6 and 7-5. If Wade goes down too I would even be OK with a platoon of Smith and Flutie.

he's listed on the roster.

i think you platoon flutie and smith (if flutie is too drunk to play) and leave perry alone for the last 2 meaningless games of the year.

i just hope the new coach can bring in a quarterback that can actually throw the ball. 2020 isn't that far off - our next coach's future quarterback star is currently a freshman in high school

The redshirt burning this is stupid. You absolutely play Perry if Wade goes down.

Win games and worry about the rest later.

If they play Flutie at QB the entire coaching staff needs to be fired on the spot.
