7. Steve Addazio, Boston College – Can someone go ahead and end the misery of the Steve Addazio tenure at Boston College already and hire Chip Kelly to coach the Eagles so he can take the ACC by storm from a perch in Boston?
With the loss to Virginia Tech on Saturday Steve Addazio’s records at Boston College now stand at:
Overall: 26 – 31
ACC: 11 – 24
Please…Administration at Boston College…end this Damn Madness already because we are tired of writing about Steve Freaking Addazio and if you can get Chip Kelly at $3 Million A Year he will be worth every penny!

“Predicted outcomes.” That’s the phrase Virginia Tech coach Justin Fuente likes to use.
Tech fans probably don’t miss the days when BC could beat their team, but there is something sad about what this Eagles program has become. These matchups used to be the ultimate toughness test, full of trenches machismo and swapped helmet paint.
Tech’s defense would still welcome such a challenge, but the Eagles look nothing like that now. They’re last in the ACC in rushing defense. And their offense, once built around stout offensive lines and running backs much like the Hokies of the Frank Beamer era, is operating with minimal confidence.
Case in point: a fourth-and-2 attempt from the Tech 23-yard line late in the second quarter Saturday night. BC’s Steve Addazio is the type of coach who loves to challenge his linemen, the type who believes if you can’t get a yard or two the old-fashioned way, you probably don’t deserve a first down.
BC ran a play-action pass. It fell incomplete. Somewhere, the great O-linemen of BC past — first-round NFL draft picks Gosder Cherilus, Damien Woody, Anthony Castonzo and the like — probably shed a tear.
But the Eagles will get no sympathy from the Hokies, who’ve evolved in a different way. They were in and out of here without much sweat expended, far from perfect but a long way from threatened, happy to benefit from another predicted outcome.
But here’s the fact for the BC student body, which says it is all.
The last time BC won an ACC HOME game with the student body at school (not counting before classes or vacation periods) was on November 16, 2013 in a 38-21 win over North Carolina State.
And that’s not just football. That’s ACC football AND basketball.
flakes {l Wrote}:Can we stop the Chip Kelly hype? Dude is never coming to BC. Not only is he a terrible fit, but he was just an NFL head coach. That would be an embarrassment for hin. Also, lots of better jobs opening potentially LSU, Nebraska, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kansas
Ok maybe not Kansas but we're heading in that direction

I don’t think Blauds is 100% right...we did beat VT on 1/29/14 at home in basketball while classes were going on. But still, that’s remarkable. No wonder why the students could care less about BC sports when there’s zero evidence of winning a game of importance at home for them to see

maybe the students need to paint their faces and/or put on costumes... so the team can channel that support (that is totally about the team and not to draw attention to the fucking millennial nerds)
