My wife observed at the ND game that the students pretty much don't wear the yellow shirts anymore. Used to be the student section was a sea of yellow, not so anymore.

Just saw on twitter that the reason is the cops on gameday know the slogans so use that to cut down on underage drinking (could've been someone here that said this). Any validity to this? If so, that's absurd. Smart policing, but still absurd.

Or buy/borrow the shirt from the senior class which is what we all did

plus - for $15 you could drink like a recent grad (class of 2017) or a slightly less recent grad (class of 2016)

for the same $15 you could drink like a junior (class of 2019)

the seniors shirts talk about boners (ever rising to new heights) so i'm not surprised those are sold out

I have only been on lower but this has been the best the police have been since pre-GDF days. Agree that the have been horrible this season.

i wonder if it has anything to do with buying inside using a fake id maybe?

also i dont get to my seat on time anymore, so i dont really care about / blame the students.

make the product watchable. then i will get to my seat on time, as i did for years.

The entire student body is Hufflepuff.

There are a couple people who wear their yellow superfan shirts at the alumni events here in Phoenix. Not too many, a couple of the younger ones.

I don't think the mustard yellow is popular with the females. I think I told this story before, but I walked by a group of female students who were talking shit about a group of freshman girls who passed by wearing their yellow superfan shirts.

And BC would probably need to retire the fighting eagle logo as well, but even then, I don't think a superfan shirt will ever be a cool thing again. The first priority should just be getting students into the game and staying. Give them free tickets or give them points for going and staying at the game and then you can redeem your points for BC gear or something like that.

Maroon Superfan shirts with #GetIn imprinted specifically for females. Also, half price beers for all students during games.

I think it could be cool again, given the right circumstances.

The points idea sounds great and it sounds do-able.

Obviously you couldn’t give kids who stay the first 3 quarters free beers in the 4th, but maybe you could?

I was told at a game this year they fell out of favor because BCPD knew which class had which slogan and so knew if you were underage. In 2005 we solved this problem by getting an upperclassmen to give us their shirt.

Also the slogans became crap after 2004.

They could do this right by having four core slogans and cycling through them, that way you're connecting alums after they've graduate too.
