Frank Leahy came to BC from Fordham. Let's hope we're worried Our Lady of the Uncertain Time Zone will take Moorhead away from us in a few years.

I think Leahy has Paul Pasqualoni on his radar for the next hire.

Yep. Leahy is crazy about those Dagos and their olive oil voices and guinea charm. I bet he'd be sweet on you Duchie. In fact, if we are going to completely suck for the rest of my lifetime, I would totally get behind a Duchie for next head coach campaign. We would cheat like we were the 80s Hurricanes and I am pretty sure the whole thing would end with you crashing a motorcycle in Kenmore with a BU coed who is pushing two bills falling off the back of the bike. It would be fucking awesome. Coach Duchie--Leahy would get a chubby just thinking about it.

Looks like the Nebraska job is on the verge of opening back up. They just fired the AD who hired (and recently extended to 2020) Mike Riley.

Still waiting for the inevitable Jim Reid firing and Paul Pasqualoni promotion to DC.
Does it happen midseason when Daz realizes he needs to get himself shit together in order to save his ass or does he take a chance and wait to the end of the year when forced staff changes are a necessity of him keeping his job?

i'm shocked riley kept his employment beyond monday. that was a pitful game and the huskers offense looked like a watered down version of the current ny giants offense. huskers fans don't take kindly to those sorts of losses and traditionally corn-hole a coach that puts them in that predicament.

that said, even ts slaughter could beat niu (albeit on a late 4th quarter pinballed field goal) so i have no interest in a huskers coach that can't

As I said to a friend last night, the terrifying thing is that there are still 5 winnable games left on this schedule that could get him to 6-6 and save his job. However unlikely it is that he wins 5 more games, it still could happen beyond the realm of impossibility.

we will lose at least 2 of

uva
rcc
yukon
cuse

my money is on uva and the cuse... but rcc is pretty overdue for a victory against us as well. i think wake is worse than all three of the acc teams listed above

EDIT - i also think one or two key players will give up on football (either in general or in bc football) after the national ass-raping we receive on saturday. my gut tells me it will be offensive players who will be hating on the handcuffs put on them by the prevent-the-blowout offense we'll be playing

This. Don’t think ‘Cuse is worse than Wake, especially at the Dome.

My concern is that if we get rocketshipped repeatedly, necessitating a mid-year firing, Pasqualoni performs decently simply by not being an idiot. Then he’s hired through 2023. :whiteflag

Dazzler's not getting fired midseason even if they lose every remaining game by 30.

Agreed that the slightly bigger risk is he somehow squeaks out 6 wins. How soon we forget 2010 (under an even worse coach) or just last year.

eh. If Brown plays like he did against Wake, they lose to everyone. So while Wake is not a good team and probably not as goof as those 3 teams, using that game transitively as a barometer is stupid.

I expect Brown to get better and the team to get (offensively) better. Whether that means we ends up at 5 or 6 wins is irrelevant. Bottom line is 1) we should have won more this year and 2) it’s clear Dazaster will never take us to the next step 3j there’s talent on the roster and it’s time to make a change before we fall back to Spaz levels of irrelevance.

Yes, Moorhead will boost attendance especially in year two. Yes, BC must keep a successful Moorhead otherwise the risk of losing the increased revenues and the potential to continuing growing revenues is most likely lost. Bottom line for BC is either Excel or be a doormat.

As far as Leahy is concerned, he has decided to stay indefinitely. That means all of the above is a pipe dream! Even if BOB or Chip wanted the job they would never work for Leahy. This is the painful reality of a BC fan.

A Budweiser section in the corner would be a huge success. Watching people stand in long lines for a $8 Bud tells me the game is just a nice background distraction for many fans.

Given that nobody posting on this site has approved of a coach since TC then you all have to accept that BC's program is no better than Wake's or RCC. It will always be an ACC doormat without another great coach. If you think BC can find a great coach every 5 years you are delusional. Get Moorhead, BOB or Chip, pay them and keep them long term. The alternative is what we have been living for the past ten years.

I know I shouldn't but I'll take the bait.

Uhhhh, there were a lot of people that approved of Jagz even after he interviewed for the Jets job. Hell, people (NotoriousOrange especially) approved of Daz when he was first hired. Go back to preaching about filling in the corners at least that is entertaining palaver.

He's not. His name is brought up in case he is fired. Nonetheless, even if he is fired, he wouldn't be interested in the job. And, even if he is fired and WAS interested in the job, we wouldn't pay him (at least more than we'd pay Pasqualoni or HCRD). Selecting unrealistic names that would obviously help BC football is really just a tool promoted by those who falsely think that generating some sort of FOMO in the 6 people who read this board it will speed Dazoo's exit.
