I think we're going to see a lot of the same old-same old this fall.

I think the offense will be just as bad as it was last year. I do not have a lot of confidence in Wade. Willis is gone and I've lost confidence in Hilliman. Maybe this is the year the O-line gels or maybe Dillon turns out to be Willie Green 2.0 and they push the team to 7-5 or maybe even 8-4, but I'm not holding my breath.

I think the defense will also perform as they did last year - shutting down bad and middle-of-the-road teams, but helpless against Clemson, FSU, VT, and Louisville (thanks in part to a BC offense that won't let them catch their breath). I think Landry will be First Team All-American but he can't compensate for all of the team's shortcomings.

One final factor - Sarge is still responsible for clock management. No bueno.

I will preface this by saying I hate Daz. He brings college football back to the stone age and I would rather have just about anyone. Having said that, we caught lightning in a bottle durong the Matt Ryan years because Clemaon, FSU and ND were all mediocre. Do I think we have the potential to compete with Louisville and VT? Sure, but 9 wins (in any year) should be considered a great season given the talent we are dealing with.

5-7. he will lose to either rcc or wake this year. he will lose to the dome. i am not predicting he will lose to yukon this year... so that may be the kick in the junk game.

the difference between 5-7 and 7-5 will be at least two games that could be chalked up to thin-skin clock management or giving away a win through going into prevent offense too early

our quarterback play will not be good for the majority of the games being played

youth will be tough to push this year so i'm expecting an injury highlight reel that will be trotted out as a part of every public speaking engagement

there will be at least 4 penalties called that can be attributed to heinzie acting like such a petulant child to the foot locker employees. they will be of the "make up call" variety where it's a bang-bang borderline play and the opponents will get the benefit of the doubt because their coach didn't call the ref a cocksucking motherfucker

I also believe they are going to employ the up tempo from the bowl game. This could get them killed in the 3 known games, but will serve them well otherwise.

I know, I know, but I would say that BC has a pretty good secondary, and they moved the ball a lot. They'll have red zone issues unless the line opens holes, but I see them passing for more yards than we have seen in a while.

This is not a sub .500 team, even with Slaughter. With a good coach, there's only three games that they'd be outclassed. But no one is picking 9-3 with Slaughter. Counting the bowl game, 7-6, 8-5 sounds about right.
