Yup, really none of the excuse making of the last two years. He talked about how strong the ACC is but not in a "poor us" kind of way.

you know we have a late bye week, we've been going now for 9 straight weeks in the toughest conference in the country now. you have the nicks and bruises that catch up to you now. the veterans have a little more scars and don't back as quickly as those young guys.

We get to the position that you probably want to talk about, that quarterback position. It's the first time that we're going to come into a season with two guys that played a fair amount. I shouldn't say played a fair amount. Darius has played some ball. This is like his fourth year. Unfortunately, he got hurt.

When you see Darius, he's different looking now. He has really filled out and matured. He had a great off-season. He looks fantastic, okay? I haven't been around him with a football in his hand. I'm talking about the off-season program.

I actually am really optimistic about this season after reading the transcript. He sounds like he's ready to start being a bit more aggressive with the play calling. At the very least, it sounds like the bar is set for similar to what we saw in the bowl games first half which would be a huge upgrade from the shitstorm of cracking the rock 3 times and then punt.

I think you all are being Debbie downers because you either 1) don't like bc football 2) despise sarge and won't give him any benefit of the doubt 3) you suck at life. It's wayyyyyy too early to be negative; it's not even 10-2 season yet. I'd expect that behavior out of homojs.

Summary is they have plenty of talent and depth and experience and will be ready to roll Week 1.

He's been a prettyshitty coach, but there was nothing wrong with what he said today.

He was fine today even though he sucks at press conferences and everyone is a god damn all american.

Do we grade his pressers in the Trump curve now, where the bar is set so low that so long as he doesn't say anything too stupid, it's view it as a good job?

You and I were listening to two different press conferences.

"A lot of things hinge upon the ability for that quarterback to be comfortable in running that show. I think our throw game, even though I'm sure our numbers didn't bear that out yet, I think the development of our throw game, if you asked guys on our team, they would tell you it was phenomenal."

What I was thinking; even if he isn't the starter, we need him as a backup. Also wonder if all of the "Wade sucks" talk coming from Yawkey (last fall) was spin to cushion the news that he was transferring. It is exactly the kind of thing (lie) a GDF disciple would do.
