i don't know - his undergrad and grad courses in sports administration totally don't sound like no show courses to me at all (being from tobaccoroad and everything)

ps - on this view i just noticed that coach winningham is a consultant with buttcut's new outfit. maybe our next coach is closer than we think...

It's this. Hiring Dazoo may have been prerequisite for getting the job (because Fr Perv likes staches). But, mother fucking Bates needlessly extended him at a huge price through 2020. Goddamn pussy who was physically afraid of Coach Meathead.

Someone had to approve that extension. You know Brad didn't have that much authority.

Is there anyway we can find out if alumni contributions to BC's endowment has "declined" since GDF terminated Jags? That was kind of a high water mark for the program, kind of been in sustained gradual decline to the point they are now. I would be very interested to know if this has hurt the school where it hurts the most, their bank account. But I am not sure even if we did see the numbers that would could attribute any substantial drop off as a result of wealthier whalepants alumni giving a damn about the program. There might still be some elderly alumni who put their annual contributions on auto pilot all the while, still thinking BC plays Holy Cross.

Given what has happened with Jagz, don't you think there was more than meets the eye to his firing?? If you think he was fired for simply interviewing for an NFL job, I have some magic beans I'd like to sell you.

The mistake wasn't firing him, it was hiring Spaziani and then Addazio and the latter thing cant be pinned on DeFilippo.

Real progress won't be made until Fr Leahy is gone.

vinny already told us that jags was fired for banging girls from the undergrad dental hygienist program. you won't find that post with your search function because vinny deleted it after getting sued by the jags legal team (that were at bc law getting banged by jags during his tenure)

I heard the same story, except Jags was banging sign-spinners in Statue of Liberty outfits and Orvis fly fishing guides in canoes mounted to the roofs of stationwagons.

None of this matters and its a stupid discussion - our entire decision-making lemon party is consistently overpaying for what they incorrectly perceive as 'low risk' hires. They take someone at low market value who is a low flight (or success) risk and pay up, thinking that somehow lowers the risk further. This is a stupid idea and it makes me question what the people on the board have done in their careers to warrant inclusion. If you're going to underpay thats fine - underpay for a moonshot coach and tack on a buyout. In ideal circumstances, the coach has wild success, is bought out, and moves on.

Instead of a death spiral of paying stupid amounts of cash to bad coaches who aren't here, other schools are paying us to hire our next coach when they take ours away. This is fine - in fact its ideal IF we learn to find good coaches. Texting Eddie Fogler might not be the best way to do it.

A lot of people who use quotation marks to indicate emphasis instead of conveying a sense of irony have stopped donating. That "decline" has been "documented".

I thought it necessary to emphasize, as a casual observer may have mistaken the term for its common usage.

What has Fish given to BC Athletics (not his alma mater, Bowdoin)? His dad played football at UNH and led a fundraising drive for UNH Athletics, endowed an athletic scholarship, raised money for their stadium renovation and paid for their last installation of AstroTurf.

The Fish IPC is actually named after Albert Fish, aka the "Gray Man," the notorious child rapist and cannibal who claimed to have "had children in every state" and declared that a "child's roasted rump was the most toothsome dish in all of gastronomy."

If Moneybags Fish was injecting anything near program-changing money into our coffers, they'd put his name on the stadium, not the glorified barn next door
