It could depend on who else (if any) they get to commit at OL, but I think you're right, he's a DT.

EXACTLY! I am fine with these Tyler Vrabels of the world, solid 3-stars from Texas, but what the fuck are we doing signing a 0 star from Mass. in August!? If we lose that kid to Bentley in January who the F cares!?

DavidGordonsFoot {l Wrote}:Khris Banks (6-2 285 OL) has committed per Clevis Murray on Twitter (@ClevisMurray).

Held offers from Rutgers and a slew of MAC schools.

A bit under the radar, but happy with this recruit. Apparently he is now 6-4 290.

Also interested on how much space we have for the 2018 class. We have a lot of solid *** players, but it seems like we are kind of settling a bit.

By saying this, you're implying that there are a number of guys that BC is leading for (or towards the top for) that they are giving up on for "Massachusetts flier" types, and that simply is not the case. They have done a good job closing on guys that they were involved with early from important geographic areas, I would hardly say they are settling.

Would you prefer to see them take some of the guys (Maitre, Days, etc) later, sure, but in this case, high profile kids aren't losing spots because those fliers commited early and in the end, its kind of just a moot point.

In a board full of dumb, one of the dumbest is the annual hysteria that comes from crapping on a camp commit because of his other offers. It is no different than Factory Fan Bases crapping on an offer given to a Danny Dalton-type because of a camp or combine performance when he previously "only" had early offers from BC, Pitt and Cuse. The only reason you hold camps is to mine for prospects that are otherwise flying below your normal radar. Generally, you have a higher hit rate on camp offers because the staff has had more time to work with and evaluate the prospect (as opposed to watching HUDL highlight videos). Personally, I am emboldened by the fact that many of these kids had already garnered interest from MAC schools and low Big 5 schools (i.e. Rutgers).

Kids that the staff has been able to evaluate in camp are far less likely to be busts. Of this year's verbals, which ones were campers?

Days,Maitre,Sparacio,Gethers, and Vrabel. They've had most of the other commits in camp either the summer before their JR years or again this summer(a lot of the kids already committed came to camp and competed regardless)

BC made top 6 for Carlos Vertorolo, OL from MI who is also considering UK, Illinois, Pitt, Iowa and Oregon a state.

Also made top 10 for FL DB Sammy Faustin with other schools such as UM, MD, UVA, UK, New, NCSU and others

Considering Oregon a state? Football's a team game, we don't need a showboating free thinker like that!

I've asked my friend in MI if he knows anything about him.

How many spots do we have left? By my count we have 21 commits.

I can't imagine we are still recruiting Carlos Vettorello in light of our existing OL commits.

Bringing in another interior OL in this class makes no sense unless there will be a lot of guys "leaving"early that we do not know about.

Am I missing something? Don't we have only three OL recruits? Only one is listed at Guard (Dirstine) and that one could end up a tackle anyway... or one could end up on the d-line. If a highly touted interior lineman wants to commit, why wouldn't we take him?

Banks is playing DL. You have Dirstine, Shelmire and Vrabel committed. If you can get a commitment from Vettorolo, Aidan Rafferty or Justin Johnson you 100% take it and deal with it down the road.

I think so. I think getting a commitment from any of the 3 names I mentioned earlier (BC is in good position with all three), who all have far superior offers, would force him that direction if there is any question or roster balance issues.

He's different than Lowry because he was decent at a P5 level. I'm reasonably confident in Lazard, Baker and Lindstrom. They're all well above average. The rest of the crew makes me nervous. Monterio had some really good and some really bad games. Elijah Johnson was very good at guard but I doubt he'll be ready.

What I saw out of everyone else looked pretty bad (Schmal and Phillips in particular).

2 247 crystal balls just popped up for Amad Anderson to BC. Other offers from Rutgers, Maryland, NCSU, Purdue, Cuse, UVA, Wake and Wisconsin. Recently visited BC and expected to make decision on Sunday (I believe).
