Isn't this the kid that HockeyRuption (TM Me) claimed committed to BC as a preferred walk on and then got a scholarship to Illinois?

Will he count against the 85 cap while he sits out?

Jason Baum tweeted that he will be on the spring roster.
FWIW, 247 shows him with offers from Illinois & Missouri but not BC.

If I remember correctly, Fish was offered a PWO spot at BC and Illinois got him to flip late by offering him a scholarship. I assume his transfer means he sits '17 although he didnt play last year (injured) so I'm not 100% sure how that would work. If he has to sit, with him being as raw as he is, it may not be the worst scenario.

Fish went to Lawrence Academy (year before Dillon) and BC just offered Ryan Betro from LA (6'4/280lb) OL/DL who Cuse offered on their junior day a few weeks back.

Edit: As I was writing this, another offer out at Lawrence to Joey Luchetti (6'5/235lb) TE/DE. This appears to be his first major offer.

Few other recent offers include

- Judson Tallandier (6'2/180lb) CB from Dematha in DC. Offers from BC, UMD, UK, Pitt, Cuse

- AJ Carter (6'0/220lb) RB from Many, LA. Offers from BC, ASU, Kansas, Mississippis State, Missouri, Texas Tech, UCLA and Vanderbilt

- Blake Zubovic (6'6/295lb) OL from Belle Vernon, PA. Offers from BC, Maryland, Pitt, Syracuse, Minnesota, NC State

I like they are offering in Louisiana. There's so much talent down there that even scraping the bottom of the talent barrel will produce better athletes than you find in the top 10 in New England.

Take some of the kids who weren't going to LSU, SEC or Tulane and instead thinking of LA Tech.

I think we offered all of Lawrence Academy today.

Would be nice to get players from Louisiana, but was there a reason as to why we weren't down there in yrs past in terms of recruiting?

I think at least one of those references to LA is Lawrence Academy. May the last kid is actually from the Bayou, based on his offers.

A team, with Dillon, that did not win the ISL last season.

247 has a number of recruiting analysts starting to predict Chase Wolf, QB from St. Xavier, to BC.

Offers include BC, Wisconsin, Pitt, Maryland, Iowa State and Rutgers

Compliment. BC needs about 15 of these every year. D1 offers from a feeder school.

St Xavier sent their last QB (4 star) to PSU. I agree with Epstein at least it's a recuit with real offers.

Both Wade and Brown had equal (if not better) offers than Wolf, so this would be very much in line with other QBs on the roster.

BC never had a chance at Clifford so Im not sure why you even mention it here despite your running PSU obsession. They are a superior program by any football based metric you want to consider. Just because he went to STX you seem to think he has some obligation to come to BC (where its even worth mentioning) and that it was a huge miss by Addazio or something. Its not like were talking about an ISL school, its a catholic school in Ohio that has sent a few guys to BC, mostly under previous HC regimes.

If only BC upgraded Alumni I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think Wolf could be a big pickup. He's definely going to get more offers as the process goes on.
The only thing I didn't like was his tendency to roll left and throw right. Was this some thinly veiled effort to show off his ARM STRENGTH?!?

You seem to forget that if BC cannot at least hold its own against PSU, they cannot compete for championship like you claim they can. If you continue to believe that facilities don't matter you are hoping against hope for another Doug Flutie to come along.

Paye was a bad miss

Bobo was also a bad miss but I really have no interest in more gigantic WRs

I think Brown was only offered as a QB. He had BC, VT (who he visited when Loeffler was there), Cuse, Northwestern, Temple and Wake. Im pretty sure they all offered as QB. You might be thinking of Jeff Smith who had some offers as a WR/ATH, but to the best of my knowledge, Brown was only offered as a QB.

Brown was 100% QB offers. Smith was a mix of QB/ATH and I Elijah Robinson had a lot of offers as a safety with a couple QB offers mixed in.

The Betro kid looks like Chris Lindstrom 2.0. Really fast athletic kid at 240 lbs. RS, put on the weight and you have a really fast and athletic 300 lb lineman.
