Haha. BC hosting gameday?! Even I'm not that dumb.

However, a top 10 Syracuse hosting College Gameday against a top 10 Boston College in Rivalry Week, in a game that decides the Atlantic Champion and likely heir to the ACC's playoff spot...

Suck it Egg Bowl.

Does this schedule help or hurt our Lambert Trophy chances?

Barring multiple injuries across the board, my optimistic worst case scenario is all about the defense. I just can't see this defense losing to Wake, UVa or the 3 OOC cupcakes.

It's not bad, actually. Both Pitt and Syracuse have brutal schedules, so at the very least BC should be able to win the ACC Division of the Lambert-Meadowlands...

But if you want to talk an optimistic schedule for the Lambert, just wait for 2022: UMass, UConn, Rutgers and Syracuse on the schedule. Sweep those and it could be a good year! *Rubs hands together in anticipation*

The best case scenario ending at 8-4 and Daz getting extended is some wish-on-a-monkey-paw shit. 6-6 again

dtwalrus {l Wrote}:I think it's a pretty good schedule.

1) Ease the offense into the season with @ N.Illinois and Wake
2) Burn an unwinnable game (Clemson) early in the year and save the critical winnable games (NCST, 'Cuse, etc) for later.
3) Two home games in October, even if one is a Friday night game.
4) Late BYE to prepare for the 3 critically winnable games that will end the year (NCST, UConn and @ Syracuse)
5) Only 2 really tough games in a row at any point in the schedule (@Clemson/ND and VT/@Louisville)
6) Winnable UVa game perfectly placed when we'll really need a change in momentum (VT, @Louisville, @Uva, FSU)

All in all, not bad for BC.

Looks like the Conn Smythe trophy is ours this year.

Fucking Notre Dame is really playing the cream of the ACC crop this year. BC, Wake, NC, NC St and Miami. They can milk any agreement to their advantage.

yes - unproven freshman quarterbacks always achieve at LEAST to the standards that you expect and never perform worse that one would expect at all times and in all facets of the game.

Yes. Stay at Keswick and defiantly go down there for a game it is fun. Boar's Head isn't a bad option either hotel wise.

Can also recommend a brewery crawl if interested that is fun.

Like I said, if he has talent. There is a big difference between guys like Winston and Francois and Jackson enrolling early and starting 18 months later than there is enrolling normally and starting 2 weeks later. Brown is not likely that level of talent, but the point remains. He's not Flutie, Smith and Fadule, with six weeks of practice.

we'll hear about breaking in a new qb at his spring presser
then he'll talk about a new RT (my guess is august, during summer ball)
later he'll bemoan the fact that jeff smith / walker didn't RS (probably after wake / nd at one of the ketchup fests at jake and joe's)

you know how this nd / acc agreement works right?

i just do not understand the inferiority complex so many people have with ND.

they play a schedule year in and year out that is harder and far better than ours. last years schedule:

-5 acc games
-texas (great game at time of scheduling)
-nevada (forgettable)
-mich st (very good game usually)
-stanford (very good game)
-navy & army (beats @NIU and central michigan)
-usc (great game usually, they were a top 5 team at the end of the year)

this year:
-5 acc games
-temple (forgettable - but would be our hardest OOC of the remaining three and most interesting)
-uga (great game)
-mich st (usually very good game)
-miami ohio (forgettable)
-USC (great)
-navy
-stanford

beats the shit out of our schedule. you also seem to casually forget them having to go to clemson two years ago (when they made the national championship) and doak 3 years ago (when they made the final 4)

The bye week falls perfectly for Daziani. He will very likely need to win the last 3 games to get to 6. So, it really couldn't come at a better time.

Here are my chances of BC winning each game...
Sept. 1 at Northern Illinois (Fri.) - 65%
Sept. 9 WAKE FOREST - 60%
Sept. 16 NOTRE DAME - 40%
Sept. 23 at Clemson - 5%
Sept. 30 CENTRAL MICHIGAN - 70%
Oct. 7 VIRGINIA TECH - 25%
Oct. 14 at Louisville - 10%
Oct. 21 at Virginia - 60%
Oct. 27 FLORIDA STATE (Fri.) - 5%
Nov. 4 OPEN
Nov. 11 NC STATE - 55%
Nov. 18 vs. UConn (Fenway Park, Boston) - 75%
Nov. 25 at Syracuse - 50%

So, depending on how badly Dazoo mismanages the game, we should be anywhere from 7-5 to 5-7.

Ok. I've crunched the numbers:

Best case scenario: 5.447 wins, 6.553 losses
Worst case scenario: 0-12

As always, these numbers do NOT factor in weather, bad chicken wings, and/or gambling scandals.
