9/9 -
9/16 - Notre Dame
9/23 -
9/30 - Central Michigan
10/7 -

If 10/7 is BC at Clemson this will be me....

NJ wedding in the Fall. I think it's 10/7, it might be 10/14. I have a bad feeling about this....our games are usually in early October.

can not stand people who get married during football season. do you want people at your party watching tvs in the bar or staring at their mobile devices?

We got married in May....it will be TEN years this spring....wow!

One of my college roomies is getting married, I'm in the wedding and I'm SO happy for her....but I'll be super bummed out if it does conflict with the BC Clemson game down here.

On the plus side, the wedding is down the Jersey Shore and we'll get to see family and friends.

PS - I feel I'm playing a game of Russian Roulette. :pontif :pontif :pontif :pontif :pontif :pontif :pontif

Wasn't the last FSU home game a Friday night game. Obviously, ESPN would prefer that BC Friday night home games only be against FSU, VT, Lousiville or Clemson. But I feel like BC would protest the same opponent being Friday night every year, so I'm betting not FSU.

There's early scuttlebutt out of the VT interwebs that they're not getting a Thursday night Lane game this year. My money is on VT being a Friday night game.

Some rumors on the FSU boards that FSU-Clemson will be the first Friday night of November.
1) Biggest ACC game of the year on Friday night?!
b) Would almost certainly mean BC isn't hosting FSU on a Friday night.
iii) Dee keeps sweating...

UNC's schedule leaked. Only interesting tidbit was Louisville vs. UNC on 9/9.

There were only 2 available ACC teams that we could've played on 9/9, Louisville and Wake, and now Louisville is off the table. Which means, barring an unlikely Week 2 BYE, BC will open soft for the new QB with Wake in Week 2.

EDIT: Also, considering that all of our other ACC opponents have a Rivarly Week opponent in week 13 set (including VT-UVa), this means that it will be a Thanksgiving weekend BC @ Syracuse.

Wouldn't be too bad if not for FSU on a Friday night. The bye week is not ideal.

this is gonna be just like last year

3-6 or 4-6 entering the final stretch, can he get us to 6-6.

I think it's a pretty good schedule.

1) Ease the offense into the season with @ N.Illinois and Wake
2) Burn an unwinnable game (Clemson) early in the year and save the critical winnable games (NCST, 'Cuse, etc) for later.
3) Two home games in October, even if one is a Friday night game.
4) Late BYE to prepare for the 3 critically winnable games that will end the year (NCST, UConn and @ Syracuse)
5) Only 2 really tough games in a row at any point in the schedule (@Clemson/ND and VT/@Louisville)
6) Winnable UVa game perfectly placed when we'll really need a change in momentum (VT, @Louisville, @Uva, FSU)

All in all, not bad for BC.

wins: northern ill, central mich, uconn

toss ups: wake, nd, vt, @uva, nc state, cuse

losses: @clem, @ville, FSU

3 wins, 3 losses. 6 toss ups. sounds about right. hell lose 2 of those at least on coaching alone. 7-5 max.

I think they are 5-5 going into the rivalry game portion of the schedule, maybe 4-6

Generally agreed, but I'd say ND and VT are "stretches."

- 3 guaranteed wins (N.Illinois, C.Michigan, UConn)
- 4 winnable games (Wake, NCST, @UVa, @Cuse)
- 2 stretches (ND and VT)
- 3 unwinnable games (@Clemson, @Louisville, FSU)

I do think 8 regular season wins is possible, depending on just how good the defense can be. But if I had to bet, I'd take 5 wins over 8 wins any day of the week.

Given the situation at QB, it's good that they close the season with three winnable games.

More observations:

- Clemson plays Auburn and @ Louisville in the two weeks before us. With their talent turnover it's possible we could we catch them deflated and down. Might actually be watchable...
- VT plays Clemson the week before us.
- We are in the middle of Louisville's cupcake churn leading up to FSU (Kent State, Murray State, NCST, BC, FSU). We're going to get rolled.
- FSU plays at BC on a Friday night after playing Louisville. Short rest after a tough game. Might also be shockingly watchable...
- We get a bye before what will likely be a critical game against NCST. They have @ND and Clemson before us.
- Syracuse finishes @FSU, Wake, @Louisville, BC. They could be reeling...or desperate for bowl eligibility.
- No team has a bye before playing us.

Here's the entire composite ACC schedule, for anyone too lazy to google...

http://www.theacc.com/page/2017-acc-foo ... go-version

I can't recall ever seeing anything like VT's schedule. 6 games to start the year against OOC and the Atlantic. Bye week. 6 straight games against the entire Coastal. lol
