He wants to work with someone who is respected in the coaching community...not some fucktard with a stache

ATl hit the nail on the head in his blog. Ricky Brown brings a young, BC alum voice to the staff, but he's not black, and that plays a huge role. Position coaches are largely interchangeable and they rarely make a huge impact. The value lies in their ability to recruit first and foremost and being African american helps big time

I also thought of Brown, but that means another domino has to fall. You can't have just one black coach at BC.

He's going from special teams coach / helping Pasqualoni on DL to a FT defensive line position with more job security and going home. How can you fault him for that.

i think its one of two things:
1. he can't stand daz and it got to the point that he couldn't last another day with him
2. he sees the writing on the wall, and knows daz will never be able to deliver more than 6-6/7-5, so he should leave before everybody gets canned.

the guy who just took over at cincy seems to have a strong resume (insert jokes about how the ketchup king worked for urban too), so he probably wants to attach himself to the guy who will take over ohio state after urbans next heart attack

Resume aside, as a new hire he probably has at least 3 safe years versus Daz being year to year.
