Unofficial other bowl games thread

I gotta say that when the bowl matchups were announced it was pretty uninspiring. However, there have been a lot of exciting games. I don't know if that's a product of parity or a product of me doing nothing but day drinking for the past two weeks.

Somebody go find mez so I can wish him good luck against the Buckeyes. Dee, you probably know him. Give him a shout.

Rooting against SEC teams today. Insufferable pantloads.

Mack's in the studio tonight. He did the game last night and was fired up about a Colorado interception (on first down) because it served as a great punt. Like, he was really excited that this INT/punt was going to turn the game around for Colorado, who were down 17-0.

What is the money line on the Washington-Alabama game? Without even looking, I'm going to guess Washington +400, Alabama -480 or something like that. Maybe its only because I have lived in Pac-12 country for so long now but I am soooooooooo rooting for Washington to give Alabama and the SEC a big shit-burger to eat. And they will if Alabama is thinking past them.

I posted this at some point possibly during the tOSU game... it is amazing to me that Michigan never had to face a mobile QB until the terrible Barrett.

Look... every D has strengths and weaknesses. The thing with Third Down is that his system goes all out to stop the run and pressure drop-back passers. It is wildly vulnerable to athletic quarterbacks and uptempo offenses. Kudos to Harbaugh putting him in a conference where he somehow exclusively faces offenses circa 1982.

They won 10 games by playing in the "toughest" conference in football. One that some thought should've placed 3 teams in the 4-team playoff.

Let's all remember that long before the media incessantly would over-hyped the SEC... there was the Big Ten.

I love Bowl Season. Nothing better than a week of little work, and a lot of college football and drinking.

Only adjustment is that there should be an 8-team playoff with the P5 conference winners, the top ranked team from the lesser 5, and two at-large. And still keep all of the other bowls.

Basically, Browning and the offense can't really.... "contribute." I don't expect much more than 6 or maybe 7 first downs for Washington for the rest of the game. Alabama's defensive backfield are just far too quick and athletic, far too many 5-star atheletes vs Washington's 3-star recievers. OTOH Washington's defense matches up quite excellent vs Alabama. They came to play.

The game is going to be "under" and I'd be surprised if Washington scores more than another 7 points.
